I think im probably a good person to comment on this since i had a baby in January in an Australian hospital. They really really are not keen on letting anyone have a natural birth. I managed to have a 6 hour natural birth for my first baby no intervention at all. I laboured at home for 5 of the 6 hours which helped for sure. The most important thing is to have a 1000% belief in your ability to birth, it's hard because you have to fight for a natural birth. I had to tell them no to an induction they booked me without my consent when I asked why i needed to have baby then I was told "thats the only day we have free ".
I agree with you. The system definitely makes it harder to have a natural birth. I also choose to believe that there are good people who work within the system that don’t agree with this. I’m so happy you got to have your natural birth. Belief is the hardest and most important part for sure.
I am so sorry your first birth experience was not a good one 😢 and I am so grateful and proud of you for letting that motivate you to help other women have experiences more like your second and third births ❤️
I’m pregnant with my first. I’m nervous that they’ll push interventions and I’ll be scared to say no. I want to be in the hospital but have people leave me alone unless I want them there. I don’t want strangers watching me. So part of me wants to just have a baby at home then go to the hospital for the tests.
Not sure where you are but a private midwife in hospital is another option. That way your midwife knows all your requests ahead of time and can push back on any hospital pressure for you. But you could also hire a private midwife for home birth too. 😊

@@BettinaRae Unfortunately I just can’t afford one and I haven’t been able to find any for my county. I think my man will come to my defenses.
@@hayleeperkins8681 even better, he can advocate for you. Sending you love and strength for birth. 🙏🏻💜
