Those vintage costumes really bring me back in time to my childhood. My earliest costumes were absolutely of this variety, in the boxes with the cellophane windows, the flimsy little outfits and the plastic masks. Such great memories!!
I love that slag lamp , can’t believe it didn’t sell ! We are setting up a very large garage sale starting tomorrow going through Sunday and my husband has a ton of vintage paper and photographs we are selling for less because we have had them for a year. We live in a resort area and there are a ton of people up here and we are saving up for a vintage camper we are going to redo so we can leave Michigan in the winter and hit some southern and western sales and escape the snow. Glad you sold lots. Wish us luck. Happy 4th everyone, be safe 🥰
Oh wow the vintage Halloween items were so awesome. The Santa mask is really cool. Nice items you have out. I could hear Taco in background. You and Taco are my favorites!
Happy Independence Day! When you remark "We shall see." it touches my heart because it was something my mum always said when she had no answer to a situation. Take care Renee.
I watched this with my son. I was telling him all about the costumes. I grew up in the 70s. I remember so many of them. He was amazed that we wore “that”. Lol. I wish I was there I would have purchased all of the insulators. I love those. I grab them every time I see them. So sad that someone threw them in the trash.
Omg! The clown costume & car skirt are my favorites! I have a funky mannequin that I dress up. I would love to see some of your awesome vintage costumes and clothes on a mannequin. If you don’t have one already, maybe you’ll find one while you’re out saving the earth. 🦸♂️🌍 Air hugs from Pensacola, Florida!
I grew up in the 50’s. I wanted a boxed Halloween costume with a mask sooooo much. My Mother was totally against it saying it was way to commercial. We always made our costumes from scratch. And, as a parent I continued the tradition of making and creating the Halloween costume from scratch 🤡👹
like your story, I was a 70's and 80's kid. mine was similar except we were poor and had to make our costumes. luckily, my mom and dad and i were all pretty creative , so i had some amazing home made costumes!! great memories and why Halloween is my favorite holiday!!
We grew up in the 60's and I was born 62, and I was the youngest of 5 daughters. So Mom and Dad always made something up for us to use as a costume. I made my sons 85-96. But I sew Wedding Dresses and their Church Suits and Shirts too. So i made some detailed Batman one, Superman, Ninja Turtles. etc. I know I saved 3 of each of theirs.
The secret of selling plenty is to rotate your stock, never have empty tables, take plenty and don't take the exact same stock twice. You will notice people scanning tables and if they see the same stuff they just move on.😊
I have always loved vintage Halloween items. Even when I was a kid, I gravitated towards them. My favourite costume? In the early 70's, my dad made me a fairy costume. He spent hours putting together a magic wand, pointy hat and coloring paper stars, cutting out foil ones and gluing them with some glitter to an old dress. Thanks for showing us your amazing Halloween haul!
So sweet of Brenda to grab the costumes. When I was little our school would have a costume pstade Halloween day. This vidio brought back some good memories. Nicely done Renee.
This was a fun video!! I'm surprised that some of your stuff didn't sale!! That cool swag lamp, the insulators, & that pretty peacock picture are really nice!! Maybe next week!!
I was so afraid of Halloween and masks my Mom could not get me to even pass candy. To this day after raising four children I can't leave the house. Or decorate. So Santa is the only one I love. And your shirt. Thanks Pam.
i hear taco stacks! be patient, someone will want the items that didn't sell today. They are neat items waiting for the right person. On the bright side you got some GREAT HALLOWEEN!!
While looking at the halloween costumes you found one called" Cheetah," In the 1940s and 50s there were Tarzan movies and he had a sidekick which was a monkey and he called it "Cheetah" that would account for the 1952 costume entitled "Cheetah"
When you first held up the horse mask I thought Casper but I couldnt figure out why that came to mind until you found the costume. So I have seen one of those. I would never let my children wear the evil looking costumes.lol. So they could go as Casper or the Easter Bunny or so many different ones. I remember when all the costumes were in boxes with the cellophane across the front so that you could see what the mask was inside. Then I just stopped buying costumes and we made costumes. It was always so fun to sit down and come up with what each wanted to be and we would put them together. Whether it was sewing, gluing or whatever. Stay safe and God Bless
I grew up in the 70's too, those costumes were great to look at on the store shelves! The masks were so think and sharp sometimes I would get small cuts on my face from having to lift up my mask so people knew who I was if they couldn't guess who I was. Oh the good old days!! Oh how I miss that simpler time!!!
I love the peacock picture, beautiful! The Santa mask is amazing, I've never seen one before. I had a witch one, mom usually made mine. One year she made me into a sunflower....that was my favorite costume and it won the most creative catagory at our towns Halloween party! I won money but dont remember how much. Happy 4th everyone 🇺🇸🇺🇲
I remember the masks made of some kind of stiff fabric. By the time we got home the mouth and nose were moist with condensation from breathing. I can still remember the sweet smell of the mask. What fun. Great video! As always 😊
I love seeing the Halloween costumes. I haf a pricess one when I was little in the early 70s. I wore it 2 yrs then my cousin (a boy) wore it the 3rd year. That's the only one I remember wearing that came from the store. I love the Nighmare costume and the cat skirt and mask.
My favorite costume was a harem girl, I made the outfit by buying a secondhand long dress and split it up the middle to make poufy legs...I had the perfect sandals. My now ex husband had loose pull on pants tight at the ankle and we found a vintage women’s hat that had a Shriner kind of look to it. He went shirtless and brushed his beard up and out...we looked good as a pair and had fun at our party. I always loved making costumes for my kids too!
Fantastic Halloween! Always fun to get rid of some stuff too. My favorite costume as a child was a witch. I fell in a ditch full of blackberries in it when I was 3. My mom had to come and get me out. I wish I had a picture of that!
Hi Rene, The Gingerbread House Gifts and Antiques is having a yard sale. Lots of old picture post cards and old greeting card and other old paper items.
Don’t be discouraged about not selling certain things, the right person just hasn’t come along yet, people are still concerned about going out among crowds. Love the peacock picture, bet you sell it the next time you take it. I am thinking of checking out our local flea market this weekend, not even sure if it’s open yet, but it’s a very small one, usually not more than 30 vendors. I will wear a mask though because I feel safer with one, don’t know why so many people refuse to wear one. Stay safe.
My husband has the ultimate costume in Vermont just before we moved here. It was right after Thanksgiving and a little boy, about 4, came around the corner in the foodcstore. He took one look at Bill, ran back to his mother yelling, "Santa, I just saw Santa!" Bill of course had a big white beard! Fun.
One of those lone hats goes with the porky pig costume and I think, one goes with the clown costume. My younger brother had the cat mask. It came with an outfit similar to the cheetah costume. I still have my childhood costumes with the same style of masks. One of them is a witch. It came with a mask, cape and skirt. So fun to see these.
Rene you can wash those with a color washing sheet ..either homemade or store bought .I noticed the porky pig was color running . this should stop the issue so you can clean them...here is the formula for homemade ..just mix soak it up hang to dry then they are ready to use in your washer..How to make Shout Color Catching Laundry Sheets: 10-12 white washcloths OR 12 squares of white felt OR a yard of white fabric 1 cup of water 1 tablespoon of washing soda (see below for resources)
The cat mask reminded me of Holly Go Lightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's when her and George Preppard were playing with the masks at the Five and Dime.
Hello Renee. Your day at the flea market was a great one. The lady that got you the Halloween costumes is very sweet . People that do things like that are the best ones to have in your life. I always liked to be the witch on Halloween but not the old crown kind with the mole. What a wonderful day you had . Stay safe 🎃👹👺🤡🎞📜📰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🧚🏾♀️💯💯💯💯
I liked that u sold only found items Nice to see their worth .I remember the mouth and nose condensation from plastic masks .gross torture to me. I have a sm collection of masks. Lots strings missing or won't reattach w tape or staple. Tried display by hanging on kitchen cabinet knobs but weird angles and not pleasing. Gonna buy styroam wig heads. Attach masks w straight pins. U can pull old nylon hosiery! Stockings over the white styrofoam heads Give it nudetone or blk or any color of tights/ hosiery. I love kitchy vintage!
Loved your little vintage fish. What a thoughtful thing to do with the Halloween costumes. I miss the trick or treaters. I had them at my house in Florida. I moved to take care of my mom and there are none here. I was glad I could give to the kids like when I grew up. Now they have the cars at school line up and the kids go and get their candy. Not the same. Thanks for sharing
Every year there are less & less trick or treaters. The gathering of cars in parking lots is nice in one aspect because it’s a central location, but it still doesn’t compare to being able to walk around your neighborhood with friends & enjoy a night of fun & candy.
I honestly thought the lamp would sell as it's got such a lovely boho vibe to it. I'm guessing there aren't too many people out yet. At least you managed to sell quite a lot though. Love the Santa Mask! It's so nice to look through pieces of holiday history and how things have changed. The masks are really cool. Great finds x
My mom made us kids costumes. My favourite was the batman costume she made and the oh-henry costume. I still have the Oh-Henry costume but the batman one was sold long ago.
You can steam the costumes to get the wrinkles out and cleaning them at the same time. The Cape , after you steam it can be repair it with fabric glue.
The white horse(?) to me, looks like it was a part of the Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons. Not that I remember that character from the show...✌🏼❤️ aannndd, now you hold up the costume that goes with the mask!🤦🏼♀️ Jumped the gun, there! Lol 😆 But it’s nice to see I was correct! 🤗
I had this spider costume, it was a giant inflatable spider hat thing and then a black jumpsuit that had a white spider web design printed on it. I was excited about it because it was actually store bought instead of homemade like all my other Halloween costumes. 😊💕🕷🕸
I would suggest trying to put all things on the tables many don’t like to or cannot bend. Some gave health issues so they will not even look in the ground. Something I notice when u go if things are in the ground I can’t physically look so I pass by things on the ground. Love ur videos
Glad you sold a lot of your free garbage finds. The Halloween costumes: Nightmare is the ghost horse from Casper the friendly ghost. Cheetah is the monkey from Tarzan. Glad you got some vintage Halloween items for yourself. A fun day for you!
Wow! You have your own personal shopper 😂 That was so nice of her! I think Cheeta was Tarzan's pet.
Those vintage costumes really bring me back in time to my childhood. My earliest costumes were absolutely of this variety, in the boxes with the cellophane windows, the flimsy little outfits and the plastic masks. Such great memories!!
What a sweet woman! what a beautiful person and a blessing
Vintage costumes were so amazing. Thought you were going to sell that lamp for minute there. Looked like a nice day to set up.
What I like most about your videos is you..its so great to see your eyes shine with delight at your vintage goodness finds! Glow on, dear one!!

I was just waiting for you to hold up the Santa mask to your face 🎅
So cool, the Halloween costumes are fabulous! Great to rinse and lightly iron and display! 😍
Cheetah was Tarzan's chimp. Does the cat skirt go with the cape? Cute Halloween!
Happy Independence Day! When you remark "We shall see." it touches my heart because it was something my mum always said when she had no answer to a situation. Take care Renee.

Cat, not car. 😉

The galloping ghost is Caspar the friendly ghost! From my childhood
How nice was Brenda to pick those up for you! It’s nice to be nice to the nice!
Great costumes! I think the purple one goes with the oriental mask!! Stay safe!!
I love the costumes. They bring back memories ❤ Glad you did well at the flea market.
Loved the costumes!
MommaFaye 🌺
My Favorite was I went as Wonder Woman and my Brother went as The Hulk in 1984! Our picture of that Halloween still hangs in my house!
That blue cape with gold trim is for the batman costume!
Oh My Gosh!!! I want the Transistor Radios! I think they are both a fantastic Vintage Radios of the past. 😁😁😁😎😎😎😆
You had a terrific parent to do all that. I also had home made costumes but nothing that fancy. Did you keep the wand? Be safe, be well.
That Santa mask was also worn in a horror movie back in the late 70s early 80s. It was a movie from Australia.
I'm so glad you save things you make me so happy. Keep doing what you do best.
So sweet of Brenda to grab the costumes. When I was little our school would have a costume pstade Halloween day. This vidio brought back some good memories. Nicely done Renee.
It was very nice of her to think of me when winning them at the auction!
This was a fun video!! I'm surprised that some of your stuff didn't sale!! That cool swag lamp, the insulators, & that pretty peacock picture are really nice!! Maybe next week!!
WOMAN!!! THAT SANTA MASK IS EPIC!!! AND it reminds me a lot of the creepy santa mask in my fave move... IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE!!! SCORRRE!!!👍🥰💖
Great costumes! I knew the horse mask was from Casper the Friendly Ghost fantastic picking from your new best friend!
As soon as I saw the mask, I had a flash back and could smell them from when I was a child!
Taco Stacks van sitting there. Y’all just need to combine your videos. It would save us time watching both of you separately! 😂
Great cat skirt love the vintage anything Halloween!!
Cheetah the chimp was Tarzan's sidekick! Too cool!
I was so afraid of Halloween and masks my Mom could not get me to even pass candy. To this day after raising four children I can't leave the house. Or decorate.

GREAT DAY at the Flea Market!! So nice of Brenda bringing the Halloween "goodies" to you! THANKS for Sharing !!
I remember the masks made of some kind of stiff fabric. By the time we got home the mouth and nose were moist with condensation from breathing. I can still remember the sweet smell of the mask. What fun. Great video! As always 😊
When you said sweet smell of the mask, I instantly smelt it!!

Cool costumes, I remember wearing them😁
I used to have a red trunk just like that.
I love the fish and the peacocks print, wish I was at that flea market.
Don’t worry. The crowds just aren’t back yet. It looked really slow. More sellers than buyers.
My favorite costume was a harem girl, I made the outfit by buying a secondhand long dress and split it up the middle to make poufy legs...I had the perfect sandals. They aren't "completely free for you" the time and petrol?
Fantastic Halloween! Always fun to get rid of some stuff too. My favorite costume as a child was a witch. I fell in a ditch full of blackberries in it when I was 3. My mom had to come and get me out. I wish I had a picture of that!
Ahh, Purple costume for the asian man mask? the long black wig probably had a long pigtail. The odd little cap at. @16:03 goes with the clown costume.
Cool costumes and a great day for you at the flea market! I love the bird in the cage. Happy 4th of July Renee!
Hi Rene, The Gingerbread House Gifts and Antiques is having a yard sale. Lots of old picture post cards and old greeting card and other old paper items.

Happy 4th to you as well Jet! Hope all is well!
The cat mask reminded me of Holly Go Lightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's when her and George Preppard were playing with the masks at the Five and Dime.
I would buy that peacock picture. I already have a similar one from Goodwill.
Ooooh, look at you in the shady spot. Well done. 🤓
Love the vintage Halloween that’s awesome take care and have a safe and wonderful weekend 😊
Fun video! Thanks for sharing. 🐦🐈❤
Love those vintage costumes ❤️
In the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” in the family Christmas party scene, George Bailey’s son wears a Santa mask much like the one you have!
The horse mask is Night Mare from Caspar the Friendly Ghost
Hello Renee. Your day at the flea market was a great one. The lady that got you the Halloween costumes is very sweet . People that do things like that are the best ones to have in your life. Gonna buy styroam wig heads. Attach masks w straight pins. U can pull old nylon hosiery! Stockings over the white styrofoam heads
Give it nudetone or blk or any color of tights/ hosiery. I love kitchy vintage!
The doll chest needs to stand up and be opened so people will see what it is. Otherwise it's just an odd box. IMO. I enjoy your channel!
So true. Marketing.
That lamp looks like an "outdoor" lamp! This time of year I am surprised it has/did not sell.....and that rattan/wicker look is totally in!
I think people actually wish it was the rattan/wicker and not ceramic!
Julia. Hope you have a happy 4Th of July. I just love watching you!
I like the costumes , I always thought the planet of the Apes was so scary ! Such fun times and great memories ! Thanks ! 🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭
Loved your little vintage fish. What a thoughtful thing to do with the Halloween costumes. I miss the trick or treaters. I had them at my house in Florida. Thanks for sharing and caring! Stay Safe!! Happy Canada Day!!
My mom made us kids costumes. My favourite was the batman costume she made and the oh-henry costume. I still have the Oh-Henry costume but the batman one was sold long ago.
Wow,on the Santa mask❤
your birdies are with you today!
The santa mask is really amazing I love it great video
You can steam the costumes to get the wrinkles out and cleaning them at the same time. The Cape , after you steam it can be repair it with fabric glue.
Wish I was near like the lead stain glass lamp and peacock painting
You would have to call me bad names to make me dislike you! Another great day at the flea!
Sorry, late in the day. ( LONG DAY ) Cool stuff, nice she bought that for you. CYA kiddo.
The bunny costume was Halloween. I had it when in 1969. I wish I had it now. It had a plastic mask.
Do you think the dark blue cape at 13:34 goes with the Batman costume? I think the pegasus' name is Nightmare...mare as in horse?
The white horse(?) to me, looks like it was a part of the Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons. Not that I remember that character from the show...✌🏼❤️ aannndd, now you hold up the costume that goes with the mask!🤦🏼♀️ Jumped the gun, there! Lol 😆 But it’s nice to see I was correct! 🤗
Really, really cool.
Did you sell the peacock picture? and if so how much? I have the same exact one hanging in my office. Love your channel !
Did you sell the radio. That's my new collection lol. I'd drive from the cape cod area for it lol
I had this spider costume, it was a giant inflatable spider hat thing and then a black jumpsuit that had a white spider web design printed on it. I was excited about it because it was actually store bought instead of homemade like all my other Halloween costumes. 😊💕🕷🕸
That sounds like a fun costume!
Great Halloween haul! The santa mask was my favorite.
FANTASIA! The little dancing horse from Fantasia 😁😁😁
What a score! The clown costume is fabulous.
I wish inwas there. I love the peacock print.
This was fun. I was a kid in the 60s and they made awesome costumes. Not like the evil ones that are so popular today.
I love the plaster fish
I believe the purple outfit was from Planet of the Apes
