      I disagree if he's assisting people to kill themselves legally he's aiding in a murder. He's not called death for nothing. Why does someone like him who probably doesn't even understand what these people go through, be able to say that they should or should not have the right to commit suicide. If you just watch it happen and not offer help and only offer a permanent solution. Life is to be protected. We should not encourage human beings to kill themselves 😢

      How do you think the doctor or you are going to feel when judgement day comes and God tells you himself you're a murderer and that by helping that person kill themselves. You're sending people into eternal hell fire. This is not okay. It's irreversible. & when that day comes and you and him understand you caused 1000× more pain to that person by assisting their suicide. It's wrong. You don't know where people go so you can promise they will stay out of pain. What if he's sending everyone who does this to hell by association? The blood will be on his hands

      I @@mytruthmylife8725 I don't think the doctor was suggesting that he could say whether or not someone had the right to commit suicide - suicide is not illegal and not considered to be murder. He simply wanted to be of assistance (legally) to those who wanted to end their life and my thoughts are that this is a compassionate act.. For some people, life is just unbearable. I agree with you that 'life is to be protected' provided that is what an individual wants. I also agree that we should not encourage people to 'kill themselves' and as far as I could sense, the doctor wasn't doing that. To deny someone the option of ending life despite untold pain and distress strikes me as being rather cruel and hard hearted. Perhaps I'm being a bit 'soft' and perhaps people who are suffering from untreatable pain and misery should 'grin and bear it' as your sentiments seem to suggest.

      you have happy life but not all people get that life. if your body works perfectly so you not need that machine but nature or god makes all the things perfectly if you are in bad health conditions and also you have ugly face. You don't want to live this f**king world. so you don't have rights to make a decision someone life . Its like very cheap behaviour. If someone was affected by health conditions they decide to die or live. If they decide to you to go that machine and die then you will comment it. Why people having worst behaviour. They do not help someone and cure diseases but says why you choose to suicide live happily it's just like why you have asthma there is so much air like concept 😮‍💨

    I was diagnosed with Stage IV Grade 3 cancer in May of 2017. Apparently, I have approximately 2 years left 🤷‍♀️
    I am a Veterinary Nurse, and did my entrance paper on how we, in Veterinary medicine, are fortunate to be able to proceed with euthanasia in terminal cases when Suffering is all that's left.
    I'm not in a state that permits assistance with Death. I will seek it out if necessary.
    I have 4 children & 2 grandbabies who I don't want to burden AND leave with horrible memories of me wasting away rather than the Beautiful memories we're making Now!

    Killing someone instead of caring for them and sympathising genuinely with their pain is wrong. You can casually dismiss their pain as 'their' personal problem and think you can just wash your hands of caring and being responsible for them. To do so is wrong.

    When you hear a child scream with pain due to famine and drought, you don't kill the child.

    • @AndrewGold1
      @AndrewGold1  3 года назад +12

      No, you try to help them. No one is suggesting assisted suicide for hungry people. And Philip specifically says it'd only used for adults. Ones who choose to opt out of life - usually because they suffer with an incurable illness. Anyway I respect your opinion!

    • @robi9558
      @robi9558 3 года назад +1

      @@AndrewGold1 agreeing that someone needs to be killed is a principle or general rule. Once established for individual cases you cant limit how the rule will be applied in the future. It's like 'natural' selection for humans. Your life is not worth living and there isnt anyone strong enough or willing to share the pain - even family members want the convenience of your death. A child dying from famine becomes another such inconvenience.

    • @AndrewGold1
      @AndrewGold1  3 года назад +9

      @@robi9558 Again, I think you're misunderstanding. This isn't other people deciding someone needs to be killed. It's the person themselves having the right to opt out of their own life should they so want. Some people are suffering terribly with illnesses. As someone else said, if you've seen a loved one go through a slow and painful death...I've certainly seen that, with people who just wanted to opt out a few months earlier rather than suffer the torture and indignity of what happened to them.

    • @robi9558
      @robi9558 3 года назад +1

      @@AndrewGold1 No. The misunderstanding is that this is only a personal choice. You are promoting the view that it is ok to have social and family attitudes that believes it is ok to get someone killed - even someone they know and should value. They put pressure on the ill person to die. The ill person is made to believe he or she should die so that others dont have to cope with the care needs of the person who is ill.
