I watched a interview with a Fender representative and he flat out stated that the pickups in the strat were the same as the original Player strats so quit with the false info to generate sales...
The info I conveyed was given to us from a Fender rep at a dealer meeting. Regardless, hopefully the sound of the guitar speaks for itself. Just demonstrating the guitar with the info the manufacturer gave us. I mean you no harm! Thanks for the comment - Justin
@@EmpireMusicPgh From what I understand the new pickups are on the offset guitars like the Jazzmaster, Mustang, Jaguar, etc. I'm pretty sure the pickups on the strats are the same which I'm fine with. I like the rolled edges and rosewood options, and the maple has a more aged look to it. I might consider buying a new Player II neck when they become available. Fender should be a little more forthcoming about this so people won't feel mislead.
Hey Justin, nice demo ! Hows the fretwork, any choking out on bends, any high or rough frets, hows the nut slots, wide and deep enough, any strings catching in the slots while using the tremolo or bending ? Thanks...-Cheers !!
Great fretwork on this one, but fret ends did need work on a couple of these. No issues at all with the nut using the tremolo. Our service team is fantastic at dialing these in! - Justin
Guy at Fender, says the alico 5 is the same as the original player pups. Think I'll wait for a FSR with either vmod or 50's pups. Roasted neck would extra special run.
Im not convinced: for less money and higher quality and better spec’s in Larry Carlton Sire S7: bone nut, locking tuners, roasted maple, rolled edges….Just saying
I have a mexican tele. But for some reason both days i wanted a strat, i ended up getting americans. They are all good though, just depends what you’re willin to spend
Your video is very beautiful. I like it a lot. I have been trying to talk to you for a long time. I am waiting for your response. Please give me a chance to talk to you..
Take my money! Straight 🔥
...If they sold this guitar in "Coral red" with a maple neck i buy it immediately... Ps:perhaps my english is not good...I'm french...

I wish fender would do Tahitian Coral, Taos Turquoise .
LOL
Knobs and pickup covers are also different. Yellower now. Nice vid!
Love the plastics combos on these. Thanks! - Justin

CS '54s or Fat 50s would be an awesome FSR. - Justin
The updated guitar seems good BUT it needs DECENT pickups !
I'll stick with my 2023 Player. I rolled the fretboard myself and had a Tusq nut filed. Its already better than these new ones

There is nothing wrong with a Mexican made Stratocaster. Still made by Fender.

Agreed, still the guitar I reach for most often! - Justin

Care to elaborate? I’m looking at picking up a HSS model and I’ve seen mainly positive reviews/demos. Take care!
