I wonder if using release spray on the leaves, like you would use for silicone molds, would help you separate the leaves?
or iron with wax paper
I would consider this next time as getting suggested, but my fear is that Mica won't stick to the leaf afterwards but will try ☺️

Lovely. I love doing my tiny bonsai leaves like that, though I leave the leaves in and survive rather well . Not tried removing the leaves like that - great idea. That new lamp looks good too

Absolutely stunning!! The colors you used on all the leaves are so vibrant and capture every detail and the leaves look like they are floating. I will have to try this in the spring. Sadly all the leaves have fallen here already but I have a Ginkgo tree and they are probably one of my favorite leaves. Love the shape of them. I really appreciate all of your experiments. The tray for the uv lamp has a film on both sides to peel off so the light can shine through properly

How funny I just did a bunch of leaves this way. I used dry autumn leaves. I left the resin on but I’m going to try this too. They’re beautiful

I have come across your video 2 weeks after publication. Can you let me know please whether your fresh leaves are still fresh? Whenever I have put fresh leaves into resin they have lost colour and turned brown. I was wondering whether your colour treatments had any effect on longevity. Hi Wendy .Welcome to my channel 🙂. I use fresh leafs for this project as I wanted to make cast it's easy to remove UV resin from fresh leaves.
But if I preserve the leaves in resin on there own I actually leave them in my books for a around 2 weeks so it helps the colour to settle. Some times they get a bit faded but I do not colour them to give that green look.
Some times if you see me using very green leaves that are bought from amazon the one that are dried already.
Could you soak them little bit to remove dried leaf???❤🙏🏻❤️
I collect a lot of those lacy looking decayed leaves, been trying to coat with varnish but will try this. But then I do like to keep the Leaf. Is there a low odour uv resin. I can still smell it though my filtered face mask. Thankyou

Yes, you can do that as I did it the first time, so it was an experimental phase. There are many options ☺️.
I know those leaves you are talking about. I have them myself. You can cover them in resin, but resin won't come off from them.
I have used, "Let's resin it has low odour .
