- ExPaSy Translate is a tool that allows the translation of a nucleotide (DNA/RNA) sequence to a protein sequence. ExPASy is the SIB Bioinformatics Resource Portal which provides access to scientific databases and software tools (i.e., resources) in different areas of life sciences including proteomics, genomics, phylogeny, systems biology, population genetics, transcriptomics etc. (see Categories in the left menu). On this portal you find resources from many different SIB groups as well as external institutions.

great explanation Sir! Love from India🇮🇳
pleasures dear
Great Sir!
Awesome!
I completed a part of my assignment just by listening to your one video. You are doing great job. Keep it up.
Thank you verymuch.
Pleasures
Good
Thank you
Ma Sha Allah sir..i have no background in bioinformatics but im doing my in silico work of MS research with the help of your videos.Keep it up
all the best
Masha Allah sir thanks for this comprehensive explaination .
Pleasures and welcome dear
MashAllah sirr..your videos helping alot
welcome
Only understand from your lectures thanks dear Sir G
My pleasures
Masha Allah Sir g now it's cleared
Pleasures and welcome dear
MASHA ALLAH Sir, may nay bhot say tutorial say seeknay ki khosish ki te lakin samj nahe ayi te, aj mujay ap kay lecturer say samj ayi hai. Thank you so much Sir.
my pleasures dear
Thank you Dr. Naveed. What a nice tutorial indeed. I couldn't hear properly the clear indication of stop codon in any given protein sequence.
dashes
Thanks
i got two sequences, one is longest, and starts with M, but it does not have a stop codon. the other is shorter, but it has M at start and a stop codin at the end. which would i coose? and one more thing, if we make amino acid sequence of a SNP genetic variant, and compare it with the aminoacid sequence of the wild type protein, should they be having any similarity in terms of number of aminoacids?
sir, I predicated a 3D structure of a spike protein by swiss homology modelling. I want to analyze it by the rampage. But when I submitted my PDB file into a rampage, the server gives all the results but didn't give the plot, i cannot understand whats going on, sir plz help me to get rid of this problem.
very informative...
Pleasures
Sir What if we have very short sequence in all 6 Sequences..? As you said we have to choose the longest one… But all are very short in my work.
Sir could you please explain how to get the nucleotide sequence from the cancer patients id taken from Sanger database. Then convert the sequence into protein in the expasy tool
just take sequence in FASTA format then translate to protein by expasy
salam,,,, sir ,,,,i hope you are doing well., bioinformatic ap k videos se he sekha,,,IN SHA ALLAH es bar pakistan aa k ap se sary video lunga Hard drive me....
welcome dear
Thanks so much for this video but i have a request to make a protein structure therefore we can practice it more professionally. Jazak Allah
watch my next lecture on I-Tasser in this regard
nice video sir, but in case of RNA to protein translator, forward and the reverse option is selected of translation???
Yes as this consider it as DNA so do by both
Exelent, Sir I have just happen to reach your channel, your teaching style is perfect to traine & to learn the most in limited time, I am a PhD student, first semester. Your lecture is purely to teach & to traine native students, in their own style. Sir, I pray, for your long life & ever success with health & honour + properity. Certainly this series of lectures is substantialy beneficial for me, how can I listen the whole foregoing lecture series?
Pleasures and all lectures available in order on my channel
Stop codons are UAA,,UAG,,,UGA...
there are no stop codons, then how will stop.
whether - Dash is considered stop codon
We know translation starts with strat condon(AUG). So i am not clear the part you say if the ORF starts with A that means this is orf1,if U then orf2 and if G then orf 3.And i want to know one thing if the translation starts with start codon AUG then every protein first aa shoud be methionine but thats not seen. Plz kindly clear me that
Thanks in avdance
dear translation start from any nucleotide or codon but protein start from AUG so in translation it code any codon but we consider protein from AUG ok
You are great sir !! Sir i have a question...sir your sequence is without introns or its a complete sequence both introns and exons that you have translated....what would be the results if i take only exon sequence
only exon also ok and if intron then follow longest ORF
@@Prof.Dr.MuhammadNaveed ok sir thanks sir May Allah keep you happy...
Promoter region will bind the enzyme to start replication and it will specify from where to start replication.... Coz Methionine is present in sequence many times.... Am i right
There is no promoter region in replication but yes in transcription it happened as sigma factor of RNA polymerase bind to the promoter region and start transcription and there is no role of methionine as this come in translation ok hopefully you got clear your concept on central dogma of molecular biology
Sir, how do we find the N- terminal and C - terminal and core region of sequence
Watch our video lecture on secondary structure prediction it has the solution to your question
assalamoalikum plz make video on "Internet tools for DNA sequence translation"
Expasy doing this and could you elaborate on what you want to do?
can we pick a sequence from 3'5' or it is compulsory that we have to take 5'3'
can pick from any frame
If 2 protein sequences of parasite and human have less than 30 percent similarity . Can we go for inhibitors design.
It depends upon active site homology and yes can try and check it by interaction of same inhibitor with both
sir please share the part 3 of lecture 5. It is not accessible.
its contain only two parts
Sir how to find binding and catalytic residue of an enzyme in ExPASY SwisPort
do search at I-TASSER
Sir what about introns, is it translated along with introns
no
If a sequence start with M and also end at M then stop codon... Logest sequence with no stop codon in mid?
yes
But when I tried ..mera sequence jb translate hta h to kam h ni hta waisy h rehta h ..please tell me the problem
listen lecture carefully then see how to pick the ORF
Sir please make a video on PHYLIP
noted
S❤❤❤sir yes top three frames how they are come? Plzzz sir
depends on codon degeneracy
