Fabulous info from Adam here. I especially like how he talks about experiencing the full dynamic range of the instrument and how to do more with less effort.
The essence packed in 45 minutes. Unbelievable helpful, thanks Adam again. Still the sensation of bending in all registers with ease the notes is for me the most valuable tip in my personal playing😀
Thank you for discussing warming down and explaining the science and benefits! I've always thought it was hokey and useless, but now it makes sense to me! I'm going to start including these pedal tones in my routine
The long tones comment reminded me of a track coach regarding too much LSD (long slow distance) He would say you will get really good at running slow. Lol Thank you for posting this awesome lesson!
Love the scale advice, but I did notice it said "for all players" at the beginning, and then basically immediately went into him doing some crazy shakes for flexibility
Mr Rapa I think would get on very well with Mr Gordon 🙂 The posture reminds me of the lifted chest, which also draws the shoulders back, and opens the chest, and the economy of effort, which stops you smacking your face off. Great watch!
Fascinating stuff from a great trumpet master. But WHY not correct one basic, vital fundamental - posture!!! Maybe that was for another day..... Oh - I've noticed other comments;)
Gold info. Rapa is machine of info and talks straight to the point.

It takes stomach strength to have a strong back, especially a lower back. Situps help in playing trumpet for support. I'm 57 now, it matters.

That's just an interval study! You can find many on my YT channel with a complete play along to play with! 😀
Just an observation but compare and contrast Adam’s posture with Josh’s.
Yess, Josh posture is terrible. No way to perform good.

Bending notes is really a key for control.

What a great instruments standing behind on trombone stands. Trumpets not bad either xD.
This trumpet to mix Monette and Andy Taylor
Who’s making them?
the interval thing is confusing how did he do it
He gonna drop his trumpet on the floor with it on his lap .I would hold it.
What horn is Adam playing?
That's an early prototype of our new Solo Model
