I'm 68 yo and have never heard mouthpiece buzzing incorporated into a performance so well. What a great idea. I can't think of another type or genre of music where an idea like this would work better.
"Running with the Devil" by VanHalen used a strumming of the string above the nut by the headstock. It was out of left field but the effect was way interesting. The mouth piece buzz was cool in the same way..
That tuba player to me is up there with the greats. Alan Baer gene porkorny. His tone and intonation is fantastic. I played and practice for multiple decades and was never able to establish a talent this incredible.
repeatedly been coming back to this piece for 4 years. absolutely stunning playing, constantly gives me chills, tears in my eyes and the utmost motivation in some sort of 'jealousy' to once be able to play like adam with an amazing crew like this. bravo.
impressive - that was a lot of continuous high playing by Adam; he's really got some chops! three things that stood out in addition to the masterful playing was the mouthpiece intro, the long smooth fall from a high to low note at 1:44 and the extended high note that he holds at p while accenting with the fingers at 7:36
I could actually see the train taking off, stopping and passing through different regions. What an awesome arrangement! Well done.love the special effects. Hisssssssss
Adam makes the impossible, possible! Right after 7:30 in the video his screaming at ultra soft dynamics is absolutely incredible! He must be using circular breathing to support it all. Bravo Adam!!!👍
That's my favourite part of this whole thing, using the lack of need of fingerings for high notes made me laugh a little. But I don't think I actually saw him use circular breathing, I think he just has insane breath support and and lung capacity.
WOW!!! What a composition! I don't know that I have ever seen Adam enjoy performing a piece as much as this one! And to be on top of all that incredible sound supported by the BEAST of a tuba in Roland Szentpali - FANTASTIC!
Adam, you are a mastermind, a genius, a devil of trumpetplaying that leaves me speechless and makes me cry about my own performance. Great intonation, great arabian flow.
I just recently found your music, and have been enjoying (loving) your music for the past few months. The more I listen... the more I'm amazed! Not only are you technically amazing, but can clearly hear and see how you love life... wanting to express that passion through your music... and also to instill it in others! What a great ambassador and inspiration for Trumpet you are! Wow!
Equipment can have a huge impact on how fun playing is. Got a Harrelson 5MM and VGR setup myself, since then, playing has been stupidly fun and highs are just a breeze, and I can hit pedals just as easy
@@Athoroughgamer I suspect that it's really true. Most of us can't realize our full potential because of the equipment. I can say for sure I wouldn't be able to play on my "student" horn the same way I can play on a better horn. MP is a big part of the picture as well.
@@kneejerkreactor9100 for real. A lot of people follow this bs of "if you can play this one this mouthpiece, you're great, even if it hurts, or is uncomfortable for you!" Instead of "play on what's comfortable that you can grow and push yourself on"
Dude this is awesome!! I’m currently studying music at a university in Australia and I’d love to play this for my final recital. Could I possibly grab the trumpet and piano part or even the full arrangement? If not no worries
It has been a while since you have made this song, but have you started selling arrangements yet? I really love this piece and would love to play it as an ensemble.
jhony sins is really the most talented guy on earth, great trumpet performance
Mateus Pereira lmfaoo

@@lustykong7591 broo my goal is to be just as good as Johnny sins
I'm telling you. The Tuba player is just insanely good.
The tuba line is absolutely insane 😍😂

Me too.

Adam Rapa is a GIANT trumpet talent!! Super cool piece!
Not a talent mam. That’s what he was 25 years ago . He is a MASTER 🎺
Rapa truly is a trumpet genius. He has mastered this instrument like his own body part

It sounds like a Moroccan or Arabian style 👏🏼👏🏽🎺
3:05 I have never gotten chills for a piece of media (music, movie, etc.) until I got to this point in the song. Literal, genuine, physical chills.

Insane! This piece desperately needs a full marching drum line in the background! Would make a killer drum corps show!

Other everyone: "WOW THAT TUBA PLAYER*
Me: *What's going on with Adam's leg there?* 🤔

Where do I find the sheet music for tuba?
What’s the name of the little squeaky instrument used at the very beginning?
What are his three lotus model trumpets he has in front of him? Talking about adam. And what is his mouthpiece
Anyone know the time signature?
Agora já são 2032 vezes XD

Great piece Adam, would love to hear you perform my original piece entitled The Gypsy Trumpeter in New Orleans, may I send you a free copy?
7:30 damm
7:35 Bruh, I can't even hold out a low C that long.
Thats the point, it takes less air to play higher, hes basically just holding his breath but not exactly
Hugh Penner don’t squeeze for it
What model of trumpet does he have, anyone ??
i'm Romanian its a monnete, but i have no clue which one
He's using the orchestral model Lotus trumpet. It's his own brand of trumpets and mouthpieces.
That is the Rapa 4 -valve added to a Lotus Solo Max.www.lotustrumpets.com/rapa4valve www.lotustrumpets.com/solomax
