After watching both these videos and then doing a night flight out of Den Helder tonight (19/11) out to the J6A, I had whole new appreaciation of what you guys see from the cockpit on approach. It’s also amazing how many islands you can see at night due to their navigation lights, that you dont often see during the day.
@@montyswoodworkscrafts2232 thank you so much for your kind words. 🤗. Have a great and safe stay on the J6A! Hope to see you soon… I’ll be on the radio tomorrow evening again… 🤗
Hi I’ve been serving for Japanese coast guard for 7 years. Also type rated for aw139/s76d and instrument rated. :) Your cockpit videos are really interesting !!
@@XanderGonnaEatYu thank you for your nice comments. Indeed. Very similar. TDP as “Take Off Decision Point” and depending on the profile flown a combination of height and speed. Offshore only hight. VTOSS is “Take off Safety Speed” and defines a new part in the departure profile.

It looked like there was no horizon because of the very dark night. That looks like a very dangerous form of flying. Very professional flight crew.
@@davidcole333 thank you for your comment. Indeed. At night we really need to work close together and trust our instruments.
Wow! Echt heel gaaf om te zien. Thanks for the ride 😄
