right stick ripper is amazing, EVERYTIME the ball handler is standing still and you press at the right direction is a steal
Do you flick your right stick left or right or at an angle? Also, are you holding L2 while you right stick for on ball steals or no? I can never get the steal animation on a constant basis.
If the ball handler is dribbling with his right hand, I flick the sitck to the right, no angle (playing in absolute settings). I use it with and without L2 @@blackjak3353

Post lock down is actually really useful on the 1s and the 2s and even the 3s. Lots of 6,8 6'9 will try to post spin when they are clamped.

I want to see HOF fast feet in action …. I think fast feet is underrated
Off ball pest for me is B tier. It was an F last year. I feel the difference on HOF versus my bronze and silver badge builds. I’ve cut off so many cutters that wanted to cut and they realize “shoot I can’t cut on this dude”
As a lock with 96 steal I can agree with Right stick ripped parshly id put it on between b and c. I’ve been getting 7-12 steals a game using it but it’s hard to get used to and can be delayed
Clamps gives you bumps and pickups off of hands up defense as well. I have HOF clamps on one of my builds way more bumps/pickups than immovable.
True, I feel as if clamps is way more often to pop up on the perimeter and immovable in the paint. Clamp just pops up way more and is just so reliable.
I think Work Horse and Off Ball Pest are severely underrated.
Gold glove on a lot of my builds and the ones with 85 perim D seem to never pick the ball up after knocking loose. 1 more to 86 for gold work horse, I’ve seen such a significant difference. They’ll actually fight to pick up the balll.
Off ball pest saves my ass so much on cuts where I’m not paying attention.y eyes are constantly scanning the floor and if my guy tries to take off for a quick cut, having gold or HOF off ball pest is invaluable. You’re right in that it doesn’t do a whole lot after the pass is thrown, but this is more for the initial part of the cut b4 the pass to help them not just run by you for a clean catch and finish.
Also couldn’t agree more on Chasedown being more effective at higher levels. I have a HOF chasedown center build and a gold Chasedown. The difference in effectiveness with blocking shots is crazy. I think takes over on blocking situations that I think Anchor should.
Most of the low tier badges work really good when we playing with the real nba games
Right stick ripper has to be A or S the amount of steals you get compared to square is insane
Right stick outperforms gloves and activates it . They just patched it so it’s seems a bit low but still good badge . A tier or B easily
Why is challenger so high ? When ppl shoot 60+% with my HOF challenger on a 6'8 gaurd
I have HOF off ball pest and I stick to my opponent like glue when he’s trying to get open off the ball so I think it should be in at least B tier if not A tier
“Rarity of usage” on right stick ripper? Whoever doesn’t reach with the right stick at this point, idk what to tell ya. You guys are missing out 😭. I pluck stage and pro am guards on my swing build that has silver glove and gold right stick ripper easily. The badge is really really good. You literally have 2 badges that help you pluck, when i use my right stick glove also pops up so i literally have 2 plucking badges activating
Yeah if mfs can’t pluck with them badges they needa just go 25 steal. Or delete the game🤣

Chase down and immovable
1. I think work horse is mainly for locks that poke the ball and fumbles on the floor. Whoever has the higher workhorse gets the ball. Only use i see for it. and if you have the same level of work horse the rng favors the ball handler. My only take on it
2. fast feet is like clamps, Ive been working on my sg with bronze and still get blown by, i upgraded to silver and my character is staying in front followed by immovable activating with fast feet.
3. off ball peast is my best friend on anti cherry picking defense. I find myself to always be the first player back on defense and as im making my way to my match up or waiting for them, i use off ball pest to keep my teammates opponents from cherry picking dunks, slow them down for my teammates to catch up and finally get to them.
4. I disagree with avoiding picks takes skill, I use to avoid screen all day last year by letting go off L2 go around the pick then reactivate. This year it doesnt even matter what you do, its all up to rng hoping it wont suck you in while the ball handler is going back and forth waiting for the animation to drag you in. ( im talking strictly off you have no help on the pick) (and assuming the center cant shoot so your center is sitting low) then sure you can just play ball handlers side and always avoid the pick.
5. Ive noticed anchor gives better defensive hands up animation. I’d put it on A tier since it does apply to hands up defense and not just blocks
Yeah disagree on RSR, when on a lock, can’t even get on all steals without it lol
I feel like right stick ripper is underrated. If you know when to use it, it can really increase your chances of getting a pluck in my opinion.
when do you use it?
I feel like it increases the chances of stealing while increasing the chance of fouling. It’s high risk reward. Best to use against people with low ball handle.
@@JenkinsBobbi’ve noticed it’s best to use it in a fast break setting guarding the ball. you’ll get a better chance imo to get a steal that way using right stick ripper

IMMOVABLE - That glove momentum definitely has some weight to it. As a lockdown I noticed it recently but now hearing you say it as well I know I’m not going crazy
Do you think there’s a huge difference between silver and gold immovable? Would you take Hof Open Looks or Gold Immovable?

@@MDrepresentah I do think there is a big difference between silver and gold immovable imo. I do think HOF open looks compared to gold is noticeable too tho. However I think gold immovable is needed if you really want to be elite on D. Guess it depends if you wsnt more offense or defense. Hope this helps:)

Me personally I would put glove in B-tier / high C-tier. That last patch 2k did really fucked up glove bruh🤦🏽♂️
Idk about right stick ripper being D tier.. at least a b because when it stacks with glove.. and when u know when to reach and which direction to flick. Idk mannn D tier is crazy but it’ll slow down people that believe you from using it 😅
I disagree about jumping doing nothing for standing dunk meters it’s really hard to time but you can absolutely force people out with high enough interior defense.
Dead zone is dead zone. Most jumps you’re probably talking about are further out of the paint than what I am. At least in my opinion
@@LakerFan pretty much right under the basket inside the semi-circle. Obviously you’re not going to get it every time but if you do a well timed vertical contest you’ll be able to force a heavily contested close shot instead of a dunk meter or you’ll get the ball on the way up.
I believe the ankle braces badge is also helpful with the passes that cause stuns.
One thing about this game is you can hide a lot of flaws in your investment with good size and positioning. Makes it hard for me to make a build heavily invested into defense knowing I can run 75 d board 85 o board and box out and snag, 78 block 61 interior and force a ton of misses, ect ect.

When I play my lock, I enjoy fast feet over immovable. Immovable is really good on stopping closer to the paint, but fast feet is so good around the perimeter when you’re guarding a speedy pg

Rather have the freethrow, even if your good at timing they really made them inconsistent recently
If you play Rec or 5v5 Pro-am then go free throw. Otherwise if you play Park or Theatre F’d that free throw 😂
I have a build with 99 block hof anchor if u know how to use it (not spamming jumps) hof pogo is a great badge

making a pg for 3s, is 60 steal worth it for bronze interceptor or should I not even touch it?
Yeah it’s definitely worth having Bronze interceptor. It’s almost impossible to get passing lane steals without it, you can reach at the right time and place and won’t get the steal. One of my boys got 5 steals in the rec off of Bronze Interceptor.

I think RSR needs a lil more respect on its name 😂 At HOF it’s probably OD and not noticeable. But at 72 steal and you get everything bronze, RSR really shows its value.

Appreciate the breakdowns, Laker! I'm stuck between 89PD and 95 Strength for HOF Immovable or 94 PD for the badges and 84 strength Silver Immovable. Anybody got some advice? Preciate it!
Personally I would go with the 95 strength. I have a build with 94 PD and another build with 95 strength. I definitely notice the high strength more so than I did the high prim d. As well why would you go 89 prim d? 85 gives you clamps and 87 gives you challenger? You’d be better off moving those attributes to somewhere else on the build.

hard disagree for right stick ripper. id say 8 or 9/10 times if you press the stick in the right direction its a steal if you know what youre doing. D tier is definitely hating id say Low A high B

HOF open looks no question. As long as you’re taking open shots, that badge will increase your green window a ton

ima vet 2 and ima tell you straight up ankle braces acels against elite dribblers and one move spammers my guard i run 97 perm fast feet clamps and ankle braces makes me immovable.

I have HOF work horse on my lock and I promise you that thing is so mid. At times I run for the ball like an AI… other times it’s like it’s on bronze 🤦🏽♂️
Guys my build is maxed so either i could go 75 free throw and 74 blocks (maxed) or 80 free throw and 70 blocks? Im a 6'6 sg with 6'11 wingspan btw
Maxed out your block you can hit free throws consistently with a good release.
Only go 80 free if your play style you get fould a lot u can make it 65-75 but also I like that free point badge
I hate when people sacrifice positional defense for reaches. I see more people get burnt by a dumb reach than just playing straight up defense. Random rec is littered with it
Bro you don’t even need to reach just play straight up defense and you’ll lock up teams in rec

This video really drags out. It feels like you made this video just going off the cuff which gives it a very authentic view of the game but like I said just makes every point feel very dragged out. I suggest getting some notes on the side about specific points that need to be made about whatever you are talking about to make it very concise.

Off ball pest + immovable works well together. I have 25 steal and avg 2-3 steals per game from the combo.

Idk and I’m not saying it does but I’m guessing that’s how I get them. I rarely press the steal button so I’m guessing the body bumps from off ball pest + strength is what triggers them. Pure speculation on my part but I rarely if ever press the steal button.

I mainly play guard in 2s and I dont spam square on defense, on my build would you reccomend go 94 perimeter, 60 steal and 60 dreb or 75 perimeter, 91 steal and no reb? Do you think 94 is worth or the 75 can get the job done?
Go 87per 72steal
1st option will be way better & you’ll be able to pad stats with rebounds.94 perimeter unlocks a few high tier badges. You may get an extra steal here and there with 91 steal but not enough to make up for the loss of other attributes ,

Another with RSR AND Glove on gold
Another with RSR hof and glove gold
And my latest with both on HoF but i didnt go 99 perim either so I could round out my build a little bit
Personally with my 5/proam team i like my 94 perim 96 steal lock the most as it can do alot more slashing and shooting wise compared to my 99 steal 94 perim lock. 96 to 99 is soooooo expensive
