Here is the tutorial : • Irish mandolin lessons...
Irish reel (Bm) played on a 1920 Gibson A3 mandolin. Shot with an EOS 1DMk4 at 50 mm f2.
That is one of the most beautiful mandolins I have ever heard!
Finding your channel and listening to you play was one of the reasons that motivated me to buy myself a mandolin so thank you! Just started learning this particular song, so much fun to play.
Sounds beautiful! Great music for pugilistic converse!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for posting this. I have been trying to learn this one and that underlying beat you maintain through the piece is the key that has unlocked it for me.. You are very good!
Tergal14 you're my mandolin hero. what I wouldn't give to pluck them strings like you do. you make my day every day, whilst simultaneously filling me with sorrow that i'll never mandolin like you mandolin. Though dammit I'll try. Thanks!
I know the feeling bro. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is ask myself "What would Tergal14 do?"
The Collings is louder, has more playability, better sustain et reverb. The Gibson has this vintage sound and feel... The Gibson is a keeper, just like the Collings. Thank you.
Very nice.....love your playing....nice imaging and sound too. Great stuff!
Love your channel so much. Please keep posting!
Lovely tune brilliantly played!
I learned this off the dots but this made it so much easier.
Lovely playing!
I thoroughly enjoyed this
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Tá sé iontach!!!
Leann ort a mhac!
;)
Aon alboim déanta 'at fós?
Thank you !
Really great stuff - do you have any preference between your Gibson and your Collings in sound or playability?
Extraordinario congratulaciones
wow this is heaven to my ears :) can you tell me if this is flat or carved top mandolin? and what about its back? i want to buy a mandolin for celtic music and the sound of yours is just perfect :)
It's a Gibson 'A' style mandolin, made in the 1920s. The top and back are both carved.
@@gam1471 It looks like an A2, but I suspect that it's an A2Z.
Très bonne exécution. Bravo !
Beautiful sounding mandolin. An A2Z?
Super!
@fiddle4u Thanks :)
Merci Emmanuel.
You haven't a video of Munster buttermilk by any chance?
I also have a 1920’s (probably’21) A-3.
What gauge of strings do you have on yours? Are the phosphor or monel? Thanks and great playing there!
oh and one thing more, do you use reverb effect in recordings? :)
Could you do a tutorial on this one?
Can't seem to find a how-to video for how to play this. Its got such a beautiful sound, does anyone know if someone has done a vid that I just haven't found yet? Would really love to learn this one.
I will make a tutorial for this one as soon as possible. Thanks for watching.
Done
Still one of my favs. Thanks for the great tunes brother.
Sorry I'm new to mandolin. Is he using a pick?
Yes
If you know violin how easy is mandolin?
Jade Tiger my understanding is that the fingerings are identical so you’d really just have to develop right hand technique
This is celtic shit. straight from the island of brasil.
What model of Gibson is this please
it's a white faced A3
