As someone currently learning Japanese. Big agree on Hiragana vs Katakana. Hiragana was super easy and distinctive apart from a few symbols. Everything looks alike in katakana.
The fact I learned Spanish for 3 years , 3 YEARS and I couldn’t even answer ‘I am a boy’ they spent so long getting us to learn the months that we never learned basic introductions.
In grade 7 for some reason we were learning Spanish, and they were so focused on us knowing every fruit instead of an introduction. The only “introduction” we learned was where we were from and our name. Never even learned ‘I am a boy/girl’
As someone who’s fluent and who has grown up in California with other people who are as well , I’m glad more people take interest in speaking Spanish and wanting to learn about our culture more !

I completely understand how you feel about hiragana vs katakana. Hiragana strokes are more fluid so it does feel more natural, while katakana is more angular. I've been learning Japanese for years so that doesn't phase me anymore, but I still freak out when I see a word isolated in katakana and I can read it but I can't tell what word its trying to mimic😂

I can't believe of all things for me to gravitate to most on this channel, it's duolingo compilations. Theses are endlessly entertaining while also being super informative and I kinda just wish this was a whole series
As a native spanish speaker I wish I was in this stream aaaaaa. The video was still great tho I died at mustache guy's voice. And with learning the 으 sound in Korean, it was actually easy for me because in my country Paraguay our other official language is Guarani, which is a language of the indigenous people and it is widely spoken here, and Guarani has that sound but it is written as y, so I had no issue learning that.
As a spaniard It's always interesting for me to watch someone learning spanish (the grammar it's quite difficult but It's a very flexible language and I find that as something really cool) Also you're really funny, I subscribed to this channel since the "How to pronunce the Liyue characters names correctly" Thanks for the video

I saw a guy on tik tok who committed himself to learning Spanish on dualingo just to see what happens, and apprantlely months later now, spanish people are complimenting his spanish coz it's good. I thought it was an ad at first, but no it was actually just the guy wanting to undertake the task.
6:13 as a portuguese speaker we don’t pronounce them like that, we use those symbols to make the sound stronger, but there’s no way you can pronounce “ã” without it being in a word, so google translate basically said “a” and how we call the symbol (til ~).

I don’t know why but that’s just what immediately entered my head 😂😂 I am part Cuban so I grew up speaking Spanish as I lived with my grandparents (on my dad’s side of the family) who were both born and raised in Cuba. My grandpa is also part Chinese, yet sadly he never taught me how to speak the language, so along with improving my Spanish speaking skills I’d love to actually learn Chinese someday!
