Ypur videos are very helpful. My doctor did a sweep last week, at exactly 39 weeks because my pregnancy has been complicated and my baby was 6#15oz, two weeks prior to that appointment. So hes big. I asked for the sweep. And she would not perform it until i hit 39, which is good, i was about 1 cm at the time . Its been a nearly a full week. I am due tomorrow. I have been having Contractions for the last five days and they are somewhat productive i suppose. Two nights ago we really thought baby was coming, i was 3cm dialated with contractions that were 5 minutes apart but nothing, they stopped when i went to sleep that nifht again. Still getting contractions but no dice. I have an induction scheduled for Wednesday and i really wanted to go naturally for our final, and fourth baby boy but it's not looking promising. The sweep did not work for me.
Hey there! This is not personal medical advice but because a sweep is a labor induction method and you aren't considered full term until 39 weeks (babies born after 39 weeks have the best outcomes) it normally shouldn't be done until 39 as a standard.
