First, I want to thank you for everything you do.
I am having surgery on Friday. I have a PEG (Polyethylene Glycol) allergy and can't take Miralax. I also can't take most Docusate Sodium, but I can take Docusate Calcium. Any suggestions for an alternative to Miralax? Thanks again!

Dr. Chung wouldn't it be beneficial to request patients do a complete cleanout before a hemorrhoidectomy like they would for a colonoscopy? It seems like that would give their intestinal tract a little more time, after surgery, to come back up to speed, plus possibly delay having to contend with a bowel movement by a day or two. Thanks in advance.

Can external hemorrhoids be removed with laser? Would you recommend that over traditional removal sometimes?

Hey doc love your channel!!! I'm so Greatfull for you!!! Ok I had a hemroidectemy 9 weeks ago. Everything was going great. Everything felt normal. I had 2 outside ones removed and I inside. But then like 2 weeks ago I strained by accident and had a little blood but now I feel 2 hemroids AGAIN 😳😳. There definitely not outside like ones I got removed and sometimes there there and then I'll get times where there gone. There not coming out of my bottom end of anything like the ones before my hemroidectemy. I have been using cream and and witch hazel pads. I'm so terrified I need another hemroidectemy!!!! Is there anything you can tell me I would appreciate it. 🙏🙏GOD BLESS THANK YOU!!!!

What type of sedation/ anesthesia do you normally use for bottom-end surgery?

General anesthesia is my preference, but will change depending on patient factors.

Why? What surgery did you have? I also couldn't pee after hemmoroidectomy. Get into shower or bath. It relaxes your muscles so you can pee
