Soooo the weird RUclips algorithm just brought me to your page. Been thinking of getting into casual fishing but now you got me thinking of fly fishing 🎣 🤔 also, could like do like additional commentary/backstory of each specific fly fishing hooks? Origins, who made it? It's impacts on fishing, why it became banned. Why they butt hurt by such a cool fly hook. Asking a lot lol but awesome RUclips channel I look forward to using for my future fishing hobby
Hey man you probably don’t remember me but I commented on another video and you said to get better at thread tension and I’m getting better next thing I need is more supplies but I would just like to say thank you for all of your help ❤
Yes I do! Great to hear the tip helped. Thread tension is one of the most important things to learn. To collect more materials buy everything you need to tie one pattern a week. Each time you buy more you'll find you already have some of those materials. By the end of the year you'll go to buy materials for a pattern and realize you already have them all.
Can you explain when is best to use these flys and how to use them? Like what season and more on the fish that is going to most likely take it. What action would be best for the fly too? What weather condisions work best, sunny, cloudy, hot,or cold? Keep up the good work love the videos!
That would be the detail you will find on my other channel. @mainelyoutdoors This one mostly focuses on the tying section. However, this one will make for a good attractor pattern and work well to get attention in dirty water. Larger flies like this will work anywhere fish are feeding on stone flies, hellgrammites, or even large mayflies. As far as the action goes dead drifted is always best but if they dont take it and you can see them a jigging action can help.
“a nice buggy look” lol. Every video man - every one! Cracks me up. I catch myself saying it with you now. Keep’em coming.
Not sure how it became my thing but here we are 😂 going to have to put it on a t-shirt or stickers soon
I don't even fish but i think you're videos are so cool! An art i didn't even know existed 😅 Thanks for the great content!
It would be nice if you had a materials list so tiers can have right materials to tie with.
Currently working on that right now. I'll start adding that in soon
Need an updated version of this!
I didn't feel like doing much so I said lets just watch the lure guy as I eat dinner. XD
Outstanding!
Day behind Halloween. But still appropriate for Dia de Los Muertos.
I know 😂 I posted it on the wrong day
I Love that
Great video ! Can you do a muskee lure !!
Thanks! Maybe oneday I dont really have the materials needed since I never fish for them

I tired a similar fly and caught my largest steelhead as well.

Very nice
Does this fly have a name? Great tie, thanks.
No just a variation I made up. It was inspired by the dirty hipster though
It was actually a lake run rainbow.
What hook did you use for this?
This is a umpqua X series hvy
What size hook?
Size of hook and bead?
Depends what you’re fishing for, I dont add that stuff because it can be whatever you'd like
Not to be mean but it sounds like you always have a cold or something
Yes First!
can you make a crab fly
I can! Never have but I bet I could. I'll add the materials to my next order
