The bellows and anvil just improve the speed of the forge, however the crucible is necessary to make forged steel.

Ah good to know. The crucible will be on our list of goals then once we're done with the workbench! 😁

Still running past all the nests, even while starving... even if you can't make bacon and eggs yet, you can make boiled eggs, or just eat them raw. I know you're always in a hurry to get somewhere else, but you'd be doing yourself a favour by slowing down just a bit! Thanks for the fun!

Okay, a great and funny episode. You NEED a wrench. Scrap the engine for loads of mechanical parts. Transformers can be stone axed for forged iron. With a wrench, salvaging good stuff is your door to riches.

Keep watching, and you'll see we start to make progress on the wrench front! 😁
Great tip on the transformers too! Good to know crafting forged iron isn't the only way to find it! Thankyou! 😊

Yeah, the stamina cost for clubs makes me run a knife build most days. An argument can be made for the sledgehammer since it does more damage/stamina points but I prefer the bow/knife combo.
Mining for iron ore is usually more efficient than 'mining' cars. The reason being that the tools to dismantle cars are from the 'salvage' line, not the harvesting tools line so the perks when gathering from cars with a harvesting tools do not apply. For cars and electrical equipment you really want wrenches. Just check your surroundings for a chunck of iron, if you dig straight down you will find an iron node.
I admire your guts, raiding a tier V with a club that takes too much stamina to be useful on day 9 without any armor to speak of :D
Broken glass can be handy very, very early game. You only get the exp penalty on death from level 5 onwards I think and if you get infected, can't get honey or antibiotics in time and your infection is in the 30s it can be a 'reset' but after that the use is negligible. When jars were still a thing I was interested in glass but that was a few alphas ago and no longer applies.
Also, you fortifying a glass door is hilarious.
That was not just a feral, that was a feral white, being the toughest zombies, right up there with demolishers. So your rant has me in stitches. Spiders make a terrible noise, their jumping is annoying but really, they are squishy, especially compared to the albino ones. To be fair, you are the lunatic taking on a tier V this early. Before this version they were doable but now there are 'trigger zombies' that are not visible until you activate one so sneaking and killing them one by one no longer works.
Animals spawn in at night now so nighttime hunting is a viable option.
For the ferals, sneak attacks work, bleeds with a knife work but really, your bow is not powerful enough yet. Maybe with iron arrows but it is a long shot. I have mishaps during my nighttime hunting, shooting zombies to get rid of them but my high sneak usually saves me. In close quarters, running them to the outside is the best way. Do not get stuck, that is a death sentence.
Nah, the burning barrel on the roof was the 'signpost' you were supposed to follow into the PoI. You started on ground level, this PoI wants you to go from the attic to the basement.
Soil is no longer an item, if you dig down you get clay. I usually take a buried supplies quest if I need clay, two birds and all that.
Nails do not need an anvil, that icon meant made in the forge :)
Sorry for the booklength of this

haha I was the same... tierV POI and he only got quality one baseball bat? He's definitely not ready for permadeath. not by a long shot :) and... OF COURSE he had bis bicycle in his pocked all while being chased by a feral white lmao good content.

Wow, loads of good advice here for me to parse! 😍
I agree, going into a tier 5 POI this early was probably not the best idea, but hey, at least we didn't die! And now i know to avoid them until we're better equipped. 🤣
Good to know about the wights too, that rings a distant bell in my tiny mind now. Don't feel quite so bad struggling with one now i know it's one of the harder enemies 😆
Apparently i will continue to insist that a hatch will help me in a doorway surrounded by glass. It's amazing what your brain does when under pressure! 🤪

It's probably good keeping something to drink on your hotbar at all times, as it increases your stamina regen, which is quite useful during more heated moments.
Also, you probably shouldn't mind going a bit going beyond your carry capacity, especially when you're focused on looting and not on complete quest objectives. You do have a bike, after all, even if you'll be a little slower inside the building, you'll still be able to ride the bike at a decent speed.

    • @ShojikiGaming
      @ShojikiGaming  Месяц назад

That is a fair point! I'm sure there's at least one thing on my hotbar i can replace with water! 😁
You're also making sense on the encumbrance thing. There was a couple of occasions when i got caught out carry loads of stuff and a zombie appeared, so it's made me paranoid about carrying too much. That being said, i'll just be careful, and more aware of my surroundings going forward! 😅

mech parts you can buy at traders, find in bags and cars on the road or buy /make a wrench and disassemble cars

Thankyou for the advice good sir! Yeah, watching my videos back, i did notice a couple of times i forgot to check some boxes, so will be more vigilant on the next looting run! I have a plan for the mech parts, which i will be carrying out in the next episode, however if that fails for some reason, it's good to know the trader may have some for us! 😁

you now have a popup about broken glass? a popup? this game is really gone to shit. I get you may have it in description but a popup? dang..
also try using keyboard shortcuts for loot: R to take it all. A to use. S to scrap, D to drop. it adds up longer you play.
You looking on a map for clay got me laughed so hard I almost peed myself. GREEN everything is clay :) lmao
you got a bicycle; it should be your ONLY means of transport and should be kept as close as possible (NOT inside your pocket! lol) at all times in case you have to bail (for all divine DO NOT park it front wheel into a wall or whatever LOL): shift+w on bicycle is waaaaay faster than sprint on foot. Use bicycle to cycle all around towns and roads and open ALL mailboxes, newsstands and cars for magazines and loot. craft yourself nerd chestpiece as fast as you can and have it in your bicycle to wear it when you read magazines (once you can craft better quality one: DO IT! quality6 is 50%) . if you find an engine by looting: scrap for mechanical parts; or axe newsstands=you get mechanical parts I think (maybe it changed).
Never presume you can't craft something; try it out. Like maybe try to use a shovel on pallets? or pickaxe on pallets of stone and bricks.
For your garden: craft yourself your garden kit to wear asap: outfit+hat+boots and wear those when you gather stuff. Same for mining: outfit+gloves+helmet. Scavenger gloves for salvaging. Bartering headpiece for selling and buying stuff from traders. etc.

Lots of useful tips here! Yeah my knowledge of 7DtD is quite old now, going back quite a few alphas since i last played properly, so at one time I'm sure you could see clay and other things on the map 😂 Good to know it's a lot more easy to come by now!
I have a plan for the mechanical parts in the next episode, so we should definitely have enough for a wrench, which will then hopefully make it easier to get the rest for the work bench! It's all a learning process! 😁

@@ShojikiGaming Yeah the red and yellow flowers no longer marking clay layers trips me up too but to be fair, I think that was one of the reasons that the very first trader quest is digging up supplies in this version. Took a while to sink in though.
The engine tip is neat. I had forgotten that you end up with more engines than you can use.
