But finding a convenient parking space is only one challenge when it comes to those affected travelling around.
In the third of our series, 'Battling Barriers', we look at how a simple flowery lanyard is proving to be a vital visible tool for people with invisible conditions.

My daughter is living life with an invisible terminal illness, she only had half a heart, she has real trouble getting around so needs to sit in the disabled seats on bus’s, needs a seat on trains, she is a part time wheelchair user and we have been shouted at if she is seen getting out of it, so i also hope these lanyards will help the genral public understand not everyone looks disabled, and that it doesn’t matter how young you are.

We desperately this in the united states. No one here talks about having invisible disabilities and stigma and discrimination as well as a severe lack of knowledge of these disabilities is astounding.

IF they're SO concerned about "battling barriers" then why don't they try and get something done about those APPALLING new trains with their totally INSANE all open design with NO quiet segregation which is absolutely ESSENTIAL?! They don't give a STUFF about the appalling barriers! This is all nonsense!

@@shumonanessa it’s just to show you have a hidden disability, often alot of people use them when they are exempt to masks but i personally don’t because i don’t believe i need to declare my disability
