Hi Traver and Amy! Just wanted to thank you both for sharing your knowledge of the Disney parks. My partner and I just went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago. It was my first time at any Disney park and I had such an amazing experience. We found your rope drop video so helpful and your strategy worked perfectly! We rope dropped five days in a row. Waking up at 6 am is not so bad when you’re going to Disneyland! And the California weather cooperated beautifully. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. It really made the difference for us and I am already thinking of my trip back.
I absolutely LOVE Disney history and especially Walt and Disneyland history! By the way did I hear that right? Disneyland is so much better than Disney World?? Agreed!!! Thank you for this video and please continue to share your Disneyland history knowledge!! 🤗
I do love WDW. But the charm of Disneyland can’t be beat. You’ll never see characters walking hand in hand with guests at WDW or riding rides with them.
@@SoCalDisneyDad I’m in town square right now and Goofy just went out of his way to come by and wish a young girl happy birthday. It’s that kind of interaction that makes me love the place.
The past few videos have been absolute bangers. Can’t wait for what is in store for us in the next video which I already know will be amazing. Thank you as always for another amazing video they are really fun and interesting as I feel I learn more about the park every single time.
You have done it again. I've never heard of any of those secrets. I knew about the no gum. And that was it. And some of where he was born. And the buildings. Awesome job. You would be a good history teacher.
Hi Traver!!! I totally agree! DL is SO much better than WDW. I was just hopping on to thank you and Amy for sharing your time, insights, and passion with us. We just returned from our first 3 day visit and it was absolutely fabulous! I attribute our experience in large part to how prepared I was because of your videos. Just wanted to thank you for helping to create our very magical experience!
Thanks so much. Looks great as always. Out of curiosity, would you describe those crowd levels as low, mid or high? Are the parks back to pre-pandemic attendance, or do they keep them a bit less crowded than they used to?
So the day I filmed this, it was more crowded solely because it was the first day of Rogers, and even that was far less crowded than I’d seen it in the last 3 months. Because two levels of passholders are blocked out all summer, I’ve noticed the crowds are much more manageable lately.
Gum? The place I work banned it. People are quite surprised when we tell them it can't come in. People ruined it for everyone else by putting it everywhere 🤷♀️
Going to Disneyland for the kids 1st time end of Sept with immediate and extended family, I have 2 kids under 5 and been watching ALL of yours vids. NOONE in my family is taking my rope drops request seriously and making fun of me for suggesting we do it. Im really going to take the kids early and leave all the rest of them sleeping at the hotel ✌️
Do it! The first hour truly is magical for rides. That and the last hour from 11 PM to midnight (provided it’s open that late, but I’m usually too tired to make it to close. 11:30 is the latest I’ve made it).
@@SoCalDisneyDad The speculation is that the water in there is brominated instead of chlorinated which is why it smells so distinct, but I haven’t had a sample tested. I do have a chemist friend, so maybe I should look into that…
Trains that Walt himself designed and drove. Many characters walking around and meeting guests without ridiculously long lines. Two parks within a very short walk from each other. Better food. Humidity under 90%. Radiator Springs Racers. The Columbia. The Nemo Lagoon. Matterhorn Mountain. My personal favorite: the Main Street porch. Shall I go on?
I once heard the difference described as WDW has quantity but Disneyland has quality. There is a charm to Disneyland that WDW lacks with its massive footprint and "corporate" feel.
@@Laura_G that’s something DL fans made up to feel good about your park. Your baisically saying that all the people who visit WDW don’t think it’s charming or magical which is obviously not true. WDW is also very charming so idk why y’all say that.
@@PorchPotatoMike please go on cus it doesn’t matter. And better food? Epcot? We have the better versions of most rides. The thing about humidity doesn’t effect me personally cus I’m from the south anyway

Love all of these interesting behind the scenes facts! As many Disney videos I’ve watched, you always bring something new. 🎉
Glad you enjoyed it

Thank you! I always appreciate your videos!
Can’t wait to be there! Hopefully we’ll see you and your family around the parks. Love your videos!
The water system is really interesting.
What about the drinking water system?

Awesome!!!!!! Thanks Traver! Enjoyed this a lot.
These are a lot of fun!! We knew some of them but not all! Thanks for all your research and for sharing!!
I never realized that Disney made dark and clear water. Wow.
I was on the train the other day and someone had stuck a piece of gum to the railing 🤮. No wonder why Walt had its sale banned.
Right? This was a good move by Walt!
It really does help keep the park cleaner.
Hi to the rides and dessert at Disneyland. Kindly look for the action. ❤🎉😮😅😊. 😂
Awesome Trevor!!! Wade B. Ruebottom designed Disneyland's Main Street U.S.A.!!!
❤🚂🚃🚃🚃🚢❤
I so agree with you! Disneyland IS better than Disneyworld.
If I was going to start a street shop I would make it look it belonged on Main Street in Disneyland.

West Coast Best Coast! I’ve always told people Disneyland is far better than Magic Kingdom, but I understand the draw of the 4 parks in Orlando
I know a Disney secret! Hubs and I are going in Oct without our kids 🤫 🤐 😂
🤣😂😂🤣

What water system does Pirates use?
It has its own dedicated system.
It’s got clear water, if I recall. But yes, it’s on its own dedicated system.
Not that you can see the water color in there anyway.

Cmon whats actually better at DL than WDW
A lot actually. Disneyland has the better version of many rides- space mountain, it’s a small world, buzz lightyear.
Trains that Walt himself designed and drove. Many characters walking around and meeting guests without ridiculously long lines. Two parks within a very short walk from each other. Better food. Humidity under 90%. Radiator Springs Racers. The Columbia. The Nemo Lagoon. Matterhorn Mountain. My personal favorite: the Main Street porch. Shall I go on?
