I was doing my valves and my chain came off the gear on the bottom I didn’t know this till I tried to crank it. Once in figured out what happened i lined all the timing marks up and the bike won’t start it’s super hard to kick too
You may have bent a valve if the marks weren’t lined up and the stress popped the chain off, the tensioner may not be tight either, I recommend taking it to a mechanic to have a look
Super simpler explanation thank you
very helpful, thanks!

If the valves are bent it will be difficult to kick

My cam rotated backwards when I installed cam chain tensioner?
You want to make sure the marks on the cam line up with the head after you install your tensioner
