We never got healed as a community following the trauma of over 300 plus years of bondage and extreme almost "unmentionable violence". The majority of our men are not bonded in working together to develop economic ways to sustain a family instead most of their energies has become focused on controlling women and women in controlling sons.....but where there is "collective" hope there is a future. I salute Queen Afu and she is right indeed about self care and caring for the soul! We can BREAK the chain....
God has placed it on my heart to start a woman's empowerment group. My community is in need of healing, and I'm done with seeing all these women and men in despair. God give me the clarity to manifest this vision.

I was with a woman who had slept with many men. She was physiand mentally unhealthy, but hid it well. By the time i realized what was happening it was to late. I had also entered the toxic state. I need to cleanse my souls, mind and body.
On forgiving parents. I forgave my mother for what she did to me when she was in her 30s, 40s and 50s. I served and supported her unequivocally. I was done when she continued to do the same things in her 60s and she's still doing these things in her 70s. She lacks self awareness, she is selfish, she has an inflated sense of self, she is a pathological liar, abusive and neglectful all whilst professing to love God. I can't.
Forgiveness does not mean distance. You can forgive her and still have nothing to do with her. Two truths can exsist at once. I am the same way with my mother.
Sounds like your Mother is mentally ill. I am so sorry for your hurt. Please realize just because a Woman have a baby doesn't make her a Mother. You are a Beautiful Spirit. Focus on your Self-healing and your Self-love, and your generation going forward. I too realize the mother who gave birth to me could never love me or be the mother I wish could love me. Yet she is very Religious. Mental illness doesn't always manifest the same. Much Love to you. ❤
This was really great. However, I can’t say I like the questions much. I feel they could have been more in depth…not so one sided about women, ladies, females. Should have been questions asked about how and what happens when men sleep around from pillar to post, how to heal men with mommy issues, how to get men back in the community, etc.
There is no one cookie cutter way to deal with parents. Some folk have been through some horrible things and the parents should apologize to them. I’m sorry unfortunately all parents don’t get a “pass” for being horrible! Let’s encourage folk to HEAL and better understand the behavior of others does not define them.
I was conditioned to have the answer and be able to show my work of obtaining it by way of physical and mental pressure. So I have to question others way of reaching understanding or if it doesn't match up when I check their work. It's a blessing and a curse but I can't operate outside of that method and I'm willing to accept the good, bad, or nothingness that comes with checking another person.

Snakes wolves and sharks may be predators but there is a desire to create and pass along this inherited trait. That is the way of all living beings. There are rules to giving up ones power to a suitable and hopefully better version of themselves. It's needed and required for balance.

Traditional health practices should be held in the same regard as Western medicine. Little has been done to officially recognize traditional medicine.
