UNIFAC Estimation to predict missing binary interaction parameters - Aspen Plus - Lecture # 39

1. Objective:
a) Identify the importance of UNIFAC estimation, needed to determine parameters for an empty (missing) binary interaction parameters.
b) Recognize the way of using UNIFAC estimation in Aspen Plus.
2. Problem Description:
a) Obtain the UNIFAC binary parameters for VLE of the dimethyl carbonate-methanol mixture with the help of NRTL property method.
b) Plot the Txy diagram of DMC-Methanol using the UNIFAC estimation parameters.
