Kurt already stated In Utero would be the last of that "Verse Chorus Verse" grunge formula and would go in a different direction. “It might be nice to start playing acoustic guitars and be thought of as a singer and a songwriter, rather than a grunge rocker you know? Because then I might be able to take advantage of that when I'm older, and sit down on a chair and play acoustic guitar like Johnny Cash.” You did Kurt and it sounded amazing. Didn't sound like a man planning to leave to me
I can imagine the 4th having songs that would sound like a blend of Nevermind and In Utero based on hearing You Know You're Right, as well as sounding like a blend of In Utero and MTV Unplugged based on hearing Do Re Mi. I honestly feel like Nirvana could've moved away from it's noise rock influences and get to sound more like R.E.M. and the Pixies. Idk it's all speculation. Pat Smear I guarantee was gonna record as a 2nd guitarist in the album. Maybe Dave's songs would've been on the album. We will never know, but it's fun to speculate
What's interesting is that Nirvana's discog had a perfect arc. First, the ambitious but underground, self-produced debut. Then the mainstream breakout. Then the "tortured soul" type of artistic freedom record. By late 93, Kurt was very much into modern art, he collabbed with S. Borroughs and he contemplated becoming a singer-songwriter like Johnny Cash. I think if he had lived, he would've gotten much more into the weirdness of art and/or would've become a one man (maybe experimental) singer-songwriter. That's what I can speculate.
Well, You Know You’re Right would be the lead off track. You might have Sappy on it or maybe some of the songs off the first Foo Fighters album. I would have put Drunk In Rio (Closing Time) on it but, you’d have to wrestle that away from Courtney Love. But then again, who knows?
Here’s the 4th album. A little of all the albums. I’ve listened to it like 10 times already. It’s the best of any of the ai albums. This one uses my favorite demos and home recordings to make a studio album ruclips.net/video/LBuRdIBzy8s/видео.htmlsi=D-093J0m8KheBAR9

THERE TECHNICALLY WAS A 4TH (incesticide)
That wasn't a studio album, plus, it would be technically the third album.
@@jorteroxd8772 why third❓bleach, nevermind and in utero make 3.
@@heartsforfloweer third because of the release date: Bleach (1989), Nevermind (1991), Incesticide (1992) and In Utero (1993)
@@jorteroxd8772 ah understandable thanks

It would be full of divorce tinged songs since he tried to divorce "her" before she had him killed
I love Curmudeon and Verse Chorus Verse.
what about insecticide isn’t that a 4th album
It’s a compilation album of old Nirvana songs, it isn’t an actual studio album of theirs. I love Incesticide though
Incestide was released in 1992

Assuming they stayed together. I think working with Michael Stipe possibly as a producer things would be different.
Epiiccx
I think you mean fifth album. They had 4 albums.
Incesticide is a B-side/chronology compilation
100th like 😁
