Thanks bud, Certainly appreciate your shout outs again. I think im going to be dropping an update sometime this month here possibly. About to pull the trigger on another solid Greco Deal. PS you have the only video demoing the PRS Metal Pickups and they sound awesome even that long ago haha Cheers!
Rob Hanson thanks man. I’m a big fan of Greco’s - great guitars. I enjoyed the 550 and never really noticed the non set neck that much. Played and sounded nice. Had to go eventually to make room for something else though, you know how it is.
@robhanson Thanks for your information Rob. Question, I bought a a Greco LP Custom with a chambered body, which I believe is a 77 model. It has fret nibs, an ebony fretboard, a block inlay in the 1st fret, yellow to red burst, pancake body construction, serial number is E776944, and it also has a one-piece top with wide grain. It almost looks like ash to me. Do you know if all of these have maple tops or could it be something else? Thanks so much.
I'm late to the party. But I'm just getting interested in the Greco LPs. I see them on reverb. Music Dealers in Japan. Have you ordered from Japan? Or ordered from Reverb? Is ordering from these sites reliable? Thank you 👍
I sold this one years ago...and miss it. Pickups were just fine, the body resonated so damn well. Have been watching one for months on Yahoo Japan that wouldnt budge below $400USD till someone picked it up.. Bummer.
@@TheYetti1 I have seen them going for $600USD now which I just don't get. I have a MIJ LP now which plays rather well. in case you're interested, ruclips.net/video/T1-Y25TjL4E/видео.html Still want to get hold of a Greco if the price is right :)
hmmmm not in my searching, rock spirits should be Exclusively Bolt on. However your "Super Powers" those while in the same category will feature set necks.
@@TheYetti1 I.ve seen pictures of Rock Spirits with the single bolt and without. For example this one... en.audiofanzine.com/lp-shaped-guitar/greco/eg-85-rock-spirits/
And this one, currently for sale in the netherlands... www.marktplaats.nl/a/muziek-en-instrumenten/snaarinstrumenten-gitaren-elektrisch/m1583461447-1985-greco-rock-spirits-japan-gibson-les-paul-model.html?c=a2384ef0ece270f44503df9f8598c624&previousPage=lr

Good informative video, Rob. I had a 1990 EG550 Custom, with the 3 screw neck. Nice playing guitar. Good stuff - looking forward to more videos 👍
you would know......lol
Thank you sir ..yeah those 550s ive seen some sexy tops on!
Holy crap sir! your Greco Spread is amazing! Had no idea! Followed!

Were super reals (even eg500s) weight relieved or did it vary?
Hi Rob, Could you please share some details regarding the neck specs? (Profile, width, etc.) Thanks. :)
I guess your Rock Spirits-script ended up on my headstock. Mine is a set neck with a weird serial number - what makes dating it impossible so far.
Hah interesting...there are alot out there that do not have the scrip too, or the truss cover.
If pickups were OG you might have a chance?

You can also get the Rock spirits without the bolt on neck.
