- Last year, on May 3rd, tensions between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur erupted into violence, resulting in the loss of at least 52 lives over three days. In the following year, the toll rose, with at least 226 lives lost to the conflict. Among the deceased, 20 were women and eight were children.

Why are national media journalists only asked to the people of Manipur it might be Kuki Or Meitei, but never raised question to the government who should be answering about there responsibility and sincere effort towards it's citizens.

Like Oja Bimol mentioned, booth capturing, proxy voting, intimidation and manipulation all happened for the voting in both seats. This was especially true for the Outer MP seat. My own family members and friends recounted stories of NSCN militants (supporting the NPF, a BJP ally) sitting inside the polling stations checking whether people were voting for NPF.

Northeast needs to get connected. Roads, Railways and Airways all included for businesses to grow. People want to work, but isolation has created opportunity for militants, drug lords, political favours and state police itself to create unsafe societies.
Militants can even go around demanding for "Hafta" from Govt. Departments. People are scared to even report to police for lack of trust. Not a single Meitei or Tribe with Spine all communal and fighting like idiots.

The discussion was good, but enlisting meitei in ST status so that the meitei protect their identity doesn't make any sense.... They are already enjoying all development fund, medical, all government institutions, everything..... In imphal grabbing all tribals preveleged and job reservation....isolating tribals completely.
So, if the majority of the states couldn't protect the minority communities, the only option is to give the minority communities different administration or Seperate administration as per our Constitution
