Wendy & Seulgi's vocals are among the very best of the 3rd gen. But the vocal harmonies of the entire group (especially on their more 'velvet' songs) are no joke! The two Red Velvet members. I think "stamp on it" is basically putting your mark on kpop. like they say "there's history behind this player. someone can take the rule and change it but it all begins from me" like many new groups are changing the industry, speaking out and making such different music that kpop's sound has changed in 4th gen but we will ALWAYS mention the legends which BOA, SNSD, Red velvet and aespa are. BOA basically introduced kpop to the world markets and inspired generations of dancers n idols SNSD became the blueprint for girlgroups (it's kinda a necessity to learn 'into the new world" as a trainee n master it to debut for ggs) Red velvet will always be known for their distinct style and to break records. they'll be remembered as the vocal monsters. aespa may be relatively new but whenever someone mentions experimental music, we all sy SM and NCT and aespa. so they basically kinda started the "noise music + switchup" trend of 4th gen so they have left their stamp forever and will be talked about

There really isn't another company that can put together a group of performers from 1st gen through 4th gen at this calibre (and really only possible because of the longevity of a legend like BoA; they have artists who have long, varied careers and I just love that more than any short-lived chart results) Anyway, especially in an industry that tends to tell performers (ESPECIALLY women) that they are past it or "no longer relevant" I just adore how GOT the Beat just goes ahead and asks.... What do you mean? Watch this. We can all come together and be a great team. Whenever they can bring their schedules together to do a mini album or whatever... I will be excitedly waiting!

You know, i struggled to find meanings behind Stamp On It's lyrics. With Step Back, it's more obvious. But one verse that i understand was the: Somebody can take and change the rules But it all starts with me Top down It just means that these days there are so many idols, so many new groups, so many new standards and expectations, but everybody knows that these girls right here are the OG babes. More than half of the members here are kpop veterans and are still at the top of their game despite new groups coming and going. Like, even aespa started a new realm of kpop idols. You got it on the first go, When i heard Step Back for the first time, it was fire, then you look at the lyrics, I was also like what ??? But it sounds incredible, 4 gen on one stage, it has never been done like this before. so I let it slide. Boa said in an MV review clip, she has never been in a group before, and this was the first time when she went to an Award Show, she did not have to sit on the table by herself. then Aespa said, Table? they only get chairs, they were happy to be on a table for the first time. lol So for you question, letting the girls have longer parts to express better? the song is already 4 minutes, and there are 7 girls, so this is the problem with groups with many members, finding enough screen time to fulfil the talent and entertainment portion. I think what you want is a solo stage. lol where they can showcase themselves. and this pairing, is extremely difficult to give each girl more time to shine. 1 rappers and 6 vocalist , who gets to shine more than the other. age before beauty, they are all beautiful. Karina is the only rapper, so IDK who gets to have more vocal lines.

I think "stamp on it" is basically putting your mark on kpop. like they say "there's history behind this player. someone can take the rule and change it but it all begins from me" like many new groups are changing the industry, speaking out and making such different music that kpop's sound has changed in 4th gen but we will ALWAYS mention the legends which BOA, SNSD, Red velvet and aespa are.
BOA basically introduced kpop to the world markets and inspired generations of dancers n idols
SNSD became the blueprint for girlgroups (it's kinda a necessity to learn 'into the new world" as a trainee n master it to debut for ggs)
Red velvet will always be known for their distinct style and to break records. they'll be remembered as the vocal monsters.
aespa may be relatively new but whenever someone mentions experimental music, we all sy SM and NCT and aespa. so they basically kinda started the "noise music + switchup" trend of 4th gen
so they have left their stamp forever and will be talked about

There really isn't another company that can put together a group of performers from 1st gen through 4th gen at this calibre (and really only possible because of the longevity of a legend like BoA; they have artists who have long, varied careers and I just love that more than any short-lived chart results)
Anyway, especially in an industry that tends to tell performers (ESPECIALLY women) that they are past it or "no longer relevant" I just adore how GOT the Beat just goes ahead and asks.... What do you mean? Watch this. We can all come together and be a great team.

Older KPOP fans of course support BOA and know what she is capable of and how amazing she is, but unfortunately newer K-pop fans don’t really give her the respect or don’t seem to care about 1st generation idols. They would just call them old and irrelevant. Which is just horrible and I don’t understand why they would say that about THE OGs who literally did pave the way for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen idols. But again you have 7 very talented ladies in one group… you have to distribute lines equally..sometimes you have dull that shine for the sake of the group. Which is why in “Step Back” MV, you see BOA (incredible dancer), HYO (SNSD’s main dancer), and SEULGI have that dance break.

So for you question, letting the girls have longer parts to express better? the song is already 4 minutes, and there are 7 girls, so this is the problem with groups with many members, finding enough screen time to fulfil the talent and entertainment portion. I think what you want is a solo stage. lol where they can showcase themselves.
and this pairing, is extremely difficult to give each girl more time to shine. 1 rappers and 6 vocalist , who gets to shine more than the other. age before beauty, they are all beautiful. Karina is the only rapper, so IDK who gets to have more vocal lines.
