who was the women?
his viance?
To me I liked a lot of the movie and the premise but it felt like the script needed a bit of work.
I’d agree on that one. It had a strong premise but would sometimes feel disjointed. Don’t get me wrong i still enjoyed it but it’s almost my least favorite of the film that Jim Cummings has done. The other ones are absolutely fantastic IMO
If Jim Carrey played Patrick Bateman, with a sprinkle of Dennis Reynolds in there; to boot. Jim Carrey as Patrick Bateman in Eyes Wide Shut 🤣
"IF YOU LIKE PIÑA COLADAS!!" 🤣
I actually wouldn't mind the ending explained. I know you stated in a comment below that it's worth watching a couple of times but I struggle to do this with most movies. I did though with NOBODY but only because my daughter hadn't seen it and it was an easy watch.
Rotten tomatoes critical reviews are at 93% and audience reviews are at 58%. That summarizes what’s going on. Jim is a nice person and I like him but this movie… not really there.
Just finished and had to see if others shared my opinion! Great review without ruining the movies curveballs!
Love the hiking scene. I've never connected why we call it an "engagement" untill, "I am your fiancee, engage with me!"
I’m surprised you don’t have 10,000 subs already. You definitely deserve more. I can give you more more. You’re reviews are the best and so in-depth. I’ll be back
Thank you so much! We're working on a SMILE ending video as we speak. It's been a hectic week so it's not dropping tonight as planned but it's in the pipeline along with a bunch of other halloween themed videos. Can't wait! Thanks again :)
The allusion to Uncut Gems, I totally get. I was feeling that during the my viewing. The stress and uneasiness that I felt wasn't as intense as Uncut Gems, but it was familiar.
The point of his character was definitely to be unrelatable, but when he says "we all still wanna be Harvey" that was wild. There is a gross assumption when we receive/achieve power, and that was really interesting he put that into words so simply.
I think some of the editing was wonky, little insert shots nudding the audience and saying "get it".
Thanks for making a video about this movie; fantastic film, and fantastic video.
Thank you so much :) :) Yeah the Harvey thing I was like damnnnn especially since his character never stoops so low as to say, sexually harass his assistant or anything like that, but i think he was also more referring to the people he works with more than just himself, and how the industry he works in are just FULL to the brim with hypocrites. Good stuff man, thanks for watching!
I watched this movie yesterday and I liked it from the beginning until the middle. After that, I think the story was a little bit lost. Also, I didn't understand the last scene.
Yeah it kinda comes out of nowhere with little to no warranted build up. I’m not sure if we needed more time with the gf or what but it did kinda come out of nowhere because the movie needed an ending and this was what was decided. Personally I would have rolled credits right after him finding out what the phantom dude did to him, but that’s just me. I don’t know. Of his three films, this is the one I struggle with.
This movie was mostly good but kind of fell apart for me near the end.
Well like Snow Hollow I think it benefits from multiple viewings. I definitely picked up on more subtle things on the second go around.
@@BurnsReviews The directing, building of suspense and atmosphere are top notch. I think he should work with other people on scripts.
@@N0va Well on this one he worked with fellow alumni PJ McCabe
I’m ok with the fact that his character was awful and there was no relief through other characters. I think it was meant to keep you on edge because this movie revolves around the use of satire. All in all I really enjoyed it and Jim Cummings did amazing!
Yes! So excited to watch this film! His two previous films were brilliant!!
You'll love it!
@@BurnsReviews I did love it! It was not what I expected and that made it even better. I’m a bit confused about the ending though. You should do an “ending explained” video!
@@arman0612 I was going to but wanted Jim and crew to have their moment before delving into spoilers. Next Friday though i’m seriously considering it. The fact you’re requesting it pretty much solidified it. His films are very unique and demand rewatching which is what i think i love about them, they’re multilayered. Thanks for watching :)
Was a great movie surprised it didn’t blow up
Just watched and it is just a genius written movie, although it was a bit hard to follow.
The character of Jim Cumming's here is the ultimate narcissist.6.5 out of 10.
very reminiscent of American psycho just in a much more light hearted horror-comedy way
Why Didn't you mentioning " Allen or Elaine May "..I think .these 2 of them were also too Good Dialogue writers ...you only comparing with tarantino only...
i guess because it’s my opinion
What’s the movie at 2:09
iTunes
Malcolm in the Middle

who was the women?
his viance?
Yes
I thought this was gonna explain what this 'scam' was about? It would make the time spent so much more interesting. Guess I'll need to watch a different video for that, or watch the movie again.
This is just a review
But in a nutshell the scam was about stealing millions of dollar from adulterers knowing there was a strong chance they wouldn’t do anything about it because it would also incriminate themselves in the process.
MOVIE SUCKED!
Hahahahaha this is so to the point and blatant 😂
