Virtual Sharing Circle - Matriarchs: Always Teaching and Sharing the Love (September 27, 2024)

On September 27, 2024, in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Gracie Kelly, Cultural Safety and Humility facilitator / educator and Indigenous Specific Anti-Racism and Cultural Safety Liaison at Doctors of BC, and guest speakers Dr. Francis Horne Sr., Elder, and Brenda Horne as reflected on the importance of Matriarchs’ teachings in First Nations communities and the resilience of Matriarchs in encouraging First Nations communities to continue healing and supporting each other.
In this webinar participants can expect to learn about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, the importance of Matriarchs to First Nations communities, and what steps you can take to honour Matriarchs and ensure their teachings are sustained.
