The best Battlefield and FPS game to date, hands down. I’ve had some of the most unforgettable battle moments on this map. I lost a friend who was my chopper gunner on this game for years into BF4, he struggled with mental health after serving and is no longer with us. Rest in peace, Jordan, the greatest BF chopper gunner ever!

I'm a long time viewer of your channel Jack, and I'm proud to say, that after 11 years, this is my first comment on your channel. Well done :)
The hype for bf3 was unreal. I remember searching RUclips everyday for leaked footage of guys playing and testing out different things on metro just to scratch the itch. They weren’t the best quality videos but it was enough to keep building up the anticipation
yes! I keep coming back it dude, memory wise. I still remember taking off my headphones and turning on the speakers at high volume, blasting that AK down the metro echoing the entire apartment. The sound was so good.
This perfectly explains why gameplay beats ultra graphics. Although I think it still looks really good after all those years! And my personal favorite was BF4. Good times.

Unfortunately my little brother is no longer alive so I can't play the next BF with him... I also played Battlefield 4 but not as much because of the stuff going on in my life. However, I had no problems with BF4 and remember it being excellent as well. Also, I was able to play as commander from an iPad as my brother played from console in the same lobby. BC2 had incredible maps (but the gameplay was a lot slower than BF3) in fact even BC1 maps are still some of my favourites.. I will never forget Harvest Day.

The sound direction in this game is insane. Very well done. If this was a trailer for a brand new game, I'd be hyped. Something about BF3 gameplay that was so addicting back in the day.
I remember. The first video you uploaded was on BF3. It was such a big part of your channel back then. I cant think of JackFrags without BF3. This is almost like a full circle moment everytime you go back to the BEST Battlefield game in the franchise. Always hits me with a wave of nostalgia

I miss this game so much. 😭 And ooff that time to kill was crazy. They don’t make games like this anymore. Much love to you frags. ❤ Take care man.
9:47 a simple moment like this, an RPG hitting a car right in front of you... ears ringing... the sound design.... no moments like that in BF2042.... BF2042 is such a huge downgrade in every way possible
Omg, I remember coming home from school, getting in front of my PC and play this masterpiece with my friends. This game will always have a very special place in my heart.
I remember playing the open Beta on PS3. Me abd my brother came home afrer a vaication, and my best fiend sent me an SMS that the Beta for BF3 was life. We playd it and were blown away and absolutely loved it.🤩 Good times😌👌🏼
the first person melee animations are so cool especially because they are unique depending on where you are compared to the enemy and if the enemy is prone or standing. BF 2042 having third person animations just because COD had them felt like taking 20 steps back. I hope the next BF makes a return to the first person melees. I think in BF 4 if you attack an enemy from the front they can counter it, imagine if they press to counter you play a button mashing game where they try and defend and you finish the kill only from the front of course.
I remember the Battlefield Friends made a video in the underground bunker on Damavand Peak when they changed to medic from white to black with a phone call. 😂 BFF's made me enjoy BF so much more.
People were always disagreeing over BF4 and BF3 but for me BF3 and Bad Company 2 were the best. BFBC2 had the best destruction as it was complete and total and you could even destroy the foundations and did the terrain so deep with explosives that you could make trenches where you could stand up and still be in cover. Vehicle combat was better in BFBC2 but the overall infantry experience was better in BF3.
Nobody disagrees that. The only people who say bf4 is better are the cod kids that came over and that was their first. The debate has always been bf2 bc2 and bf3

I just said this to my BF buddy the other day as we logged in to 2042 who started with 4 but looking back 3 was it the map selection was top notch, the sound design (war tapes) beyond immerse, the level design was varied and fun and filled to the brim with cool destruction, the iconic "Jump" from Damavand to the claustrophobic tunnel of Metro, where Rush was super good. It was peak BF
@Xayalan it's total sonic immersion it's over blown, and with so much going on around you, sometimes it did make it hard to think. It was too good, to think we only though it could get better, If we only knew we're at the peak then
The bf3 alpha on metro was my first experience with a battlefield game, and i immediately fell in love. I played so much of bf3 back then, and every time i played, it was just as exciting and fun. The only other game i ended up playing more was probably Destiny 1. But bf3 was my first real experience outside of a cod game in a multiplayer setting, and it has a special place in my heart for making me realize how much i was missing by only sticking to cod for so long. The campaign and everything was just peak.

I miss the BF days when you could play like this. I don’t have matches like this anymore. If I have a sniper battle someone finds me, or I get picked off so easily. In BF3/4/1/5 I could have some fun and play how I wanna play. In 2042 there are enemies in every direction even in 64 modes. I enjoy doing my own thing like Jack was doing on the building. It was fun doing that for a while then playing the objective.

I really really hope BF6 delivers man. Forget about that stupid "innovation" and "most ambitious" game BS. Just give us a game that respects the legacy of Battlefield and its fans.

Honestly all they had to do was copy paste with even better graphics. Bf3 and bf4 were some of the best games I played as a teen. So many hours glued to the tv.
If only we could go back in time, boys.
bro we are still playing come join
@BF3150-d8l I went back and nobody was playing the dlc's other 1 room doing a huge rotation of every single dlc.
@@BF3150-d8l WHERE ARE YOU PLAYING? All online pc servers are empty :((((
If only 😌
Use zloemu to play bf3 , it is non origin multiplayer craked , so no worries of ea shutting down ea servers , and still the numbers are high in the game on zloemu , downloading now
It was a PLEASURE to watch this!!! Skills, creativity, commentary and overall the fun from the game was on top
Battlefield 3 Alpha... it was so special. So many good memories. It's so nice to see that a lot of people still play this. Truly a timeless piece of game design.
I will never forget the long giraffe necks from the BF3 alpha.
@@Verociity I was waiting for this comment! If anyone remembers the giraffe necks you're a true day 1! :D
This perfectly explains why gameplay beats ultra graphics. Although I think it still looks really good after all those years! And my personal favorite was BF4. Good times.
This actually still has some of the best graphics I've seen in an FPS, especially the campaign, Frostbite was way ahead of it's time.
@@Verociity Some of the campaign levels are insanely beautiful. The villa one is insane. The France one is insane. Even the one with all the RU paratroopers is next level. The forest at the start is so perfect
Battlefield 3 was/is phenomenal. I played solo, & with my little brother a lot. We dominated nearly every match we played-- it was probably my best gaming experience ever.
This capability was unmatched, something amazing. What an incredible feat that DICE accomplished. Was it BF4 that I played commander in? I don't remember. What other BF games have commander that you can play from an iPad/mobile device?
Camping Metro Station Spawn with an LMG, munitions box and first aid pouch was peak nostalgia.
Noshar canals, TDM was always a cluster f**k
Metro Station it’s still one of the best maps I ever played in any shooting game. Level design in BF3 was incredible
Getting 1st place on the leader-board as a medic with 1 kill and a full server on Metro was bonkers. BF3 was so fun!
Dont forget the c4 for rush
@@drkryan21 i hope that's satire, becasue Metro was absolutely atrocious and by far the worst Battlefield Map ever produced, The map was way to linear for battlefield's gameplay and more suited to COD.. litirialy everything you did was stand at the Clusterfuck stairs and throw nades for the entire round
Looks better than latest BF no doubt!
Graphics no, art direction and lighting yes
@@bradenmchenry995Graphics too...
Nah thats an exaggeration @@G0LIAT8
lighting is fantastic, graphic is ok not bad, it was amazing for its time for sure
It looks better than all Battlefield games and also played better
Getting someone’s tags was so satisfying. It was like that person was now with you forever! Definitely need to bring that back.
Only the real ones remember gran bazaar’s hallway pure chaos
I hate it! Probably because im not a very good player and just die all the time. Same thing with metro when it’s on full meatgrinder mode.
The best of times.
The slaughter and chaos, good times
B flag ❤
Ohh carnage!
BF3 was my first battlefield game for the console reason. Found your channel from it and have been subscribed ever since!
you , levelcap and stonemountain started with bf 3 hahaha i loved watching all of you guy
That transition from Bad Company 2 to BF3 was absolute peak. I remember making my friends, who were big cod fanboys at the time, buy BF3 and it was the most fun we had ever. Miss those times
5:38 I am still watching your videos since then, and yes playing the beta was one of the most magical gaming experiences I've ever had.
Went to the comments to find this, glad I'm not the only not one
Brings me joy when you makes these throwback videos.
It’s absolutely the #1 BF out there!! It’s so good, I can’t believe there hasn’t been a remastered version of it.
They would just ruin it probably.. sadly..
@@Marcelino1098 ha!! It’s sad how right you are:(
Use zloemu to play bf3 , it is non origin multiplayer craked , so no worries of ea shutting down ea servers , and still the numbers are high in the game on zloemu , downloading now
That's one thing I think COD has over BF, they keep their older titles alive through remasters.
@@magivkmeister6166 the remasters are nothing like the original cods tbh. All their fancy new stuff, weapons and hyperspeed running and sliding, ruined the remasters.
For me it's a tie between Bad Company 2 and 3. Both games have everything battfield players want. Fun weapons, memorable maps, second to none gunplay, and some of the best vehicle combat to date. We need more of this in the here and now.
BC2 campaign dialogue was brilliant as well epic gameplay
BC2 had incredible maps (but the gameplay was a lot slower than BF3) in fact even BC1 maps are still some of my favourites.. I will never forget Harvest Day.
Rush on valparaiso
@@aiugiamos3057 I still remember Valparaiso rush like it was yesterday, incredible map in rush.
I'd say bc2, bf3, and bf1 are the top 3 bf games ever released. They all had great maps, guns, and art style. I can hop into any of them and have an amazing time.
You've brought the biggest smile on my face by posting this.
The bf3 alpha reveal was so amazing. The Beta on Metro was so amazing. The teamplay was so amazing. The moments were so amazing. Just so many amazing memories.
I was blown away by that one . That day i played the alpha in metro i knew i was going to quit cod forever
On November 7th the PS3 and Xbox 360 servers will go offline for BF3!
So anyone who still has this game, use this short opportunity to fill up the servers one last time before we have to say goodbye forever 😢
I have it for PC lol. Sorry
Damn! I was going to go buy it, again.. Thats makes me sad.
you can play it on xbox one
@@jebrengl yes that's also a possible platform through backwards compatibility, but on the same servers as Xbox 360 unfortunately.
Might have to go get the game I didn’t enjoy bf4 as much as I did bf3 or bad company 2 that’s when I got into the series with
The sound direction in this game is insane.
Bad Company 2 is my number 1, but BF3 is a close second! 😍
Same for me.
Same here and bf1
word Brother👍👍👍👍
Seriously getting emotional watching this. Was just searching and watching old bf3 trailers and this video popped up. I used to watch you play bf3 all the time. And lvlcap, X factor and a few others. I miss this game so much. 😭 And ooff that time to kill was crazy. They don’t make games like this anymore. Much love to you frags. ❤ Take care man.
Why does just watching this help alleviate my depression?
because of sweet memories and nostalgia
Well, time keeps ticking, and the world changes, but we remain the same mentally but not physically:(
The music does it for me haha
9:47 a simple moment like this, an RPG hitting a car right in front of you... ears ringing... the sound design.... no moments like that in BF2042.... BF2042 is such a huge downgrade in every way possible
Omg, I remember coming home from school, getting in front of my PC and play this masterpiece with my friends. This game will always have a very special place in my heart.
I remember playing the open Beta on PS3.
Me abd my brother came home afrer a vaication, and my best fiend sent me an SMS that the Beta for BF3 was life.
We playd it and were blown away and absolutely loved it.🤩
Good times😌👌🏼
first time rush on metro attacking side in the beta was the best !
the first person melee animations are so cool especially because they are unique depending on where you are compared to the enemy and if the enemy is prone or standing.
I remember coming home from school when this came out, i was shaking with excitement while i was downloading it! Such an iconic game
I remember the Battlefield Friends made a video in the underground bunker on Damavand Peak when they changed to medic from white to black with a phone call. 😂 BFF's made me enjoy BF so much more.
Love you Thick ❤❤❤
This
Neebs Gaming is such a great channel.
@@Yan-tz9pn Well now there is a new modern battlefield. Teaser was just released to day. They say they want to get back to their BF3 and BF4 roots. So we shall see what people think.
@@Yan-tz9pnI like bf4 mechanics and gunplay more but bf3 maps were amazing for me as a rush player. I wish I had more time for bfh since I really liked the beta for the game.
I agree! I would say even the first Bad Company was pretty good. I just enjoy its more tongue in cheek humor with the quirky jazz music intro, the smiley face pins on the hand grenades and the single player campaign. I always thought that's what separated Battlefield from COD.
Bad company 2 is what got me away from COD. Bad company 2 for the time was next generation
I will never stop asking for a remaster
No Doubt... this game remastered is what I need
Remastered versions of games are usually terrible just play bf3 :)
yes a new version of Bf3 with 64 players at console would be so nice!
Who remembers the m26 dart absolutely destroying everyone? Especially on maps like metro and grand bazaar? Fighting over MCOMM’s such a blast.
I remember when it was bugged if you underslung it on the G3 each pellet would do the 34 damage the G3 shots did lmao. Thing was beyond broken.
@@dirtybacon93 you Could cross the map kill people with it 😂. That long corridor/street on Bazaar was wild for them. The kill feed just full of dart kills.
imo the most traumatazing weapon i ever had to face was the usas12 frag , that thing was just from another dimension
@@jeanraoulvenerementpasheur5135 completely forgot about that. It was the same thing though, metro and bazaar just darts and frags all over the place when they were broken. Good times 😂
Bro you just unlocked my Operation Metro alpha memories LMAO. I didn't play it myself back then, but I watched it and it hyped me to play the game on release. BF3 was so fun!
Damn you just reminded me of War Tapes. I remember the first time I put that on
@Xayalan it's total sonic immersion it's over blown, and with so much going on around you, sometimes it did make it hard to think. It was too good, to think we only though it could get better, If we only knew we're at the peak then
Bf3- blk ops 2 era was peak gaming!
It was mw3 back then...
BF3 was the best BF ever and Blops2 was the best COD ever, I can't believe we had both the GOATs at the same time.
Worst thing about being a gamer in OCEANIA - servers are dead on old games 😢 And that’s all I want to play!
Get VPN

@@maulp0k3rare you saying that if I set my location to Europe using a VPN, I can play on European servers with a low ping? Surely not… The issue is high ping.. I can easily join a European server but my ping is like 250+ so it’s unplayable.
Use zloemu to play bf3 , it is non origin multiplayer craked , so no worries of ea shutting down ea servers , and still the numbers are high in the game on zloemu , downloading now
Yeah it's very depressing tbh lol I would rather play bf3 than any other game today, shame its dead now
never stop uploading battlefield games
played in the good old days after school, every day, the half night, found a clan and played CW hardcore-matches we will never forget... tired af AM waiting for the end of the lesson and for the next battle... This blue digital killcounter was so satisfying... never seen after this
Collecting tags was so good
friday night battlefield was such an era
you mean 3 hours of sleep and back to school era. i was literally having hallucinations bc i played bf3 all night, every night xD
When I say I miss BF3 it's this map that comes to my mind, man I can still feel the heat on my lap coming out of my laptop while playing it at 35-45 fps and having A LOT of fun..
Take me back...
Man I miss this. Was a huge foundation of my life and has helped me form into who I am today. I don’t know if we will see this kind of authenticity in a game. It seems like these employees that made battlefield 3 were excited to go to work and create the game where as 2042 is more of a “lemme work here and put it in my resume so I can work there” type of feel.
i remember the days watching you ,levelcap and matimio playing this still one of the best games to this day ,such a legend jack still carry on to watching you to this day !!
Love when you play battlefield, I still think battlefield 1 is my favorite but this is a close second
Sniping from the carrier to the crane on this was so satisfying when you got a kill.. watching that bullet drop
flying the transport heli in bf3 and bf4 was so fun and felt so cool and one didnt get insta killed by rockets everytime.
Hopefully this BF3 video brings that player count up so more people can be gaming it on PC again
Bf3 was the best. Best maps premium was awesome. Community was awesome.
The longest logged hours of any Battlefield game I had. Also had 25k RPG Kills and 35k M249 kills 😅
I loved healing people and bringing them back from the dead lol I felt bad when I rezzed someone and BAM snipped again and rinse and repeat lol I love BF3.
you mf. you and i are nemesis
Watched you since you started playing Battlefield 3. Almost half my life ❤️
I remember it's whole campaign like yesterday. That first mission really makes you get the feel of what being in a real life combat situation is like. so fire.
The music in an of itself is a signifier of how goated this game is.
No elephant screeching sounds. Just pure electronic gigabeat that honours the legacy of the franchise.
How I miss the DICE of old. I really really hope BF6 delivers man.
Forget about that stupid "innovation" and "most ambitious" game BS. Just give us a game that respects the legacy of Battlefield and its fans.
This server definitely feels like it has some sorta damage modifier on, as the TTK seems just a touch quicker than I remember. Especially with the torch-versus-tank. If it had always been that quick, I would have never became a C4 Goblin!
I played this game with you and bf4 and it was the best time , I m still a huge fan thanks for reminding me
I remember when Metro used to have LAVs on the first outdoor section. Ngl, i liked that
I swear jack, if you don't pop out a BF4 video.... I'm gonna play it myself.
I’m 19, I remember watching my brother play this for hours. When I got older I played Bf1 and that game was absolutely amazing and so fun to play. I remember playing it so much even though I was subpar. Especially when that beta/alpha came out it was really fun.
i miss this game with a passion🥺🥺🥺
Big love for BF3
Man, I remember being like 6 or 7 playing Battlefield 3 and 4 with my aunt and uncles lol
No matter what they do with the series, good or bad, it'll always have a special place in my heart - the hours I spent playing it on my PS3 in my garage and just having tons of fun I'll never forget.
Holy smokes. 6 or 7 in 2012? You a youngin!
This game is 1000× better than BF4
Rubbish
I wouldn't go that far. They should take the best elements from both and call it Battlefield 3.5
Will never understand why 2042 dropped the 1st person takedowns, something the series had become known for.. chasing trends obviously
We will never get anything like this again but we can cherish what we had what an amazing time in gaming history
THIS BATTLEFIELD DESERVES A REMASTER
