The whole flow of combat is so much better, people are forced to properly engage with the terrain and move cover to cover to push an objective and holding a position actually feels like holding a position and not like you are getting rained on by people who are trying to throw themselves at the problem. This game is a such a good example of why tac sprinting and slide mechanics just dont work for the gameplay that a battlefield game needs.

@@mostinho7 It is. I play on PC, on European servers, and it's busy almost all the time, no matter the day. There's also some kind of a bug that prevents people from finding full servers, but it's an easy fix if they just Google it. I’m sure a lot of players quit the game because of this issue.
Man this game is so legendary, the sounds, the cinematics, the vibes playing this at 1-2am on winter nights were just immaculate. Made you feel like you were in the field yourself man, telling the squad mates where to push from and when to fall back.. epic stuff this one.
DICE & EA hit an absolute home run with BF1. Absolutely smashed Call of Duty. Had a jaw dropping reveal trailer. And then they absolutely fumbled it with not 2 absolute jokes of Battlefield games. And I still have zero faith the next Battlefield game will be any better.
I have faith in Vice Zampella. Him and the original Infinity Ward team pretty much created the blueprint for the modern FPS. I don't have my hopes high since he is just one man in a huge concerted effort, but I maintain a sliver of it.
@wanderkors6594 this. The game was visually incredible, the fortification system was unique, the map design was pretty good for the most part. Bf5 had its issues but it stands up well. People always forget it took bf1 nearly a year for the first dlc content which was a ling time in terms of game life cycle.
I don't think the new battlefield will be anywhere near BF3 or BF4, I'm gonna see how good it is via RUclips and then think about buying it on sale. Lice service games are bullshit cash grabs.

I started playing battlefield games when bf2 was new and played them all for awhile. I havent played shooters at all since early BF4 days though. I grabbed this on sale yesterday for $5 and the amount of rust I have might never come off. I get slaughtered so bad! It would be infuriating if it was so pathetic that it made me laugh at myself! I used to be good and now I'm the worst in every server by a mile. It's nice to see someone like you do it properly.
You're absolutely right that the fun stopped when the live service unfinished games started releasing. I'm glad you brought up the destruction I really hope they go back as far as bad company 2, to bring us some more epic battles. This will be their last chance before this franchise is lost forever. Hopefully they don't Candy Crush 2042 us again.

Been playing battlefield 1 for 2 months and man do I love it! My only wish is that they could make operations 64 vs 64 I would play it every moment of my life.
Why does everyone in the bf community seem to only know 2 numbers. 64 and 128. You don't have to double the player count. That's always been way too big a leap and I could never understand why those 2 numbers are the only ones that seem to be in the discussion. You could get a similar experience by simply adding something like 8 players to both teams. 40 vs 40 instead of 32 vs 32 means 2 extra squads on both teams running around. (80 players) Or you could do 44 vs 44, with 3 extra squads per team. (88 players) 48 vs 48, that's 4 extra squads per team. (96 players) I never understood the lack of nuance in the discussion. Its always either keep it the exact same not adding any players or DOUBLE it. Everyone seems to think in extremes. When you drive are you always flooring the accelerator or not pushing it at all? As if there isn't options in-between the two extremes.

you can slide but after the slide even if you cancel it you will move slow for a second thats the thind so you can only use it to slide in cover

Battlefield 1 was peak battlefield. I loved BF3 4 and 5 but 1 is by far the best multiplayer experience I’ve ever had in an FPS game.

Trench Raider is the most fun thing on that map. Easy to go 40-0 when you are an elite that can one shot melee, heal yourself, and have armour.
