Very, very enjoyable Clint. Just so good to see you constantly improving at this craft. Your perseverance is most impressive. Does it sound presumptuous to say that I'm proud of you? Well, I am anyway! Cheers mate. God bless you all there and stay healthy.
Not presumptuous at all! I consider that a big compliment, thank you very much. I'm trying, it's difficult but then that's kinda the point I think. Always good to hear from you Mark
Great idea using a stand for this kind of carving, I have only just recently watched Alec lacasse in a lock down demo on youtube (cotton bark carving) carving association etc sorry can't remember exact title gr8 vid for showing depth in facial features. Keep Carving 🤙
Ahh ok cool I'll check it out thank you. Yes that's just a carving stand I made with a woodcarvers screw I bought, it's excellent for holding pieces down.
You could try and carve anything, there's no rules. Plywood can be tricky though with hand tools especially as the grain switches a lot between the layers. If you used a power carver like a rotary tool of some kind then it would be more feasible.
human head profile of nose lips forhead going in circle around the human sized head could be woodturned, then noses cut out, or nose material removed till looks like nose , how many can be one , two ,tree, four. eigth sixteen even more.
A superb 20 minutes of carving and I have to agree with Marks comment !
Thank you for sharing ,cheers Bram
Thanks so much Bram I appreciate that! I've just started my watch list and I've got your skyrim vid on there so will be watching in a bit 👍

Your last head , I think you did better because it was bigger- allowing you to move easier. Great video. Thanks!
You are the best
Could you stick many squares of plywood together to give you a cheap base to carve a full-size head?

try pie cutting the head before you start to put the face on
Have you ever thought of carving a marionette or a ventriloquist dummy
I've had a couple of people ask me but never actually done it. Maybe one day inspiration will strike
