You need the grappling gun...that gun works wonders if you're over encumbered or past your weight limit...oh and it's funny that you talking about the ghost guy and then found it's spawn area minutes later...the irony 😂
Helping others to remind Axe that a grappling hook will be very helpful in moving around the base.
I built a large metal container as close as possible to my pal box to shorten the distance of travel when I’ve got a lot of loot. With the new organizing system, I dedicated a small wooden box next to my electric furnace for ores and stone. I teleport between bases to collect the production materials and use my grappling hook to get to my ore box quicker. The trick of re-equipping the grappling hook to remove the timer still works!
Another idea is using the memory wiping medicine to reset your stats. I get plenty from supply drops and dungeons. I can use it to max out my weight if needed. Those new potions that permanently raise up your stats are helpful by a bit.
There’s also a right of freight. I don’t use it but seems like it helps raise your carrying capacity a tiny little bit.
When I want to build something elsewhere but all my materials are at my main base, I build the item at my main base and break it down to have the materials pulled into my inventory. Then I use my grappling hook, if needed, to swoosh to my palbox and teleport.

Get rid of your metal base since there is a new ore mining site 2 you can place in your base and with the right pal produces way more metal ore than ore nods in the wild and build a mining base with your oil rig

You think the pal metal takes a long time? The oil takes way longer. Suggestions to make things a bit faster, capture a jormuntide ignis or breed them they will work better for your electric furnaces. I highly recommend using Oserks for the power and use the monitoring stand to assign them. The newest power generator needs 2 Orserks to generate power also make sure you craft an electric pylon. Moving slow is just part of the game haha I use the pal box to teleport between bases. You'll figure it out just takes a long time I am level 53 struggling to get 54. The grind from level 50 is insane spent 21 hrs on it yesterday lol. I love the game though.
You just need to capture 12/12 pals for every pal and you'll level to 55

Axe, catch jourmentide fire, max it lvl 4 (condense), he do metal very very quick. ps: pasive for work at base: lucky serious artisan and work slave/workholic
I did the same thing, now I have 4 bases in the new zone so I can run 8 oil extractors. Since they added the sulfur, coal, and ore miners, you no longer need bases in those zones. Plus, you can build a base in the snow, with crystal and oil nodes.
Jormuntide Ignis breed 'em or catch em, condense for effiency in smelting/cooking. Orserk, do the same, the giant generators need at least two Orserk that at least one is fully condensed and the other minimum rank 3 (especially if you claim the 3 oil nodes on the West side of the Mount Obsidian/volcano). The oil pumps are power hungry and if your Orserk have Nocturnal passive it's even better.
Breed a Jormuntide ignis with artisan, work slave, serious and lucky, or blazehowl noct ( will be a lill bit slower but fine, doesn't sleep). And make them 4 stars
Axe you don't need an ore base anymore , you can just use the new ore site to make a LOT of ore at any base . And please save yourself some time and use better pals for everything , blazamut for mining(much smaller than astegon) , jormuntide and J ignis for water/fire, lyleen for planting (and harvesting if u get her to 4*). Sadly with all the high end materials , the time to make stuff FAR outweighs the cuteness of our favorite pals.

- To Kindle faster, you will need to capture a Jormuntide Ignis.
That is the only pal that has level 4 work suitability in Kindling.
Then breed him so he has Artisan / Work Slave / Nocturnal / Workaholic. That will nearly double his crafting speed, and he will work overnight.
Then Compress him up to 4 stars, which will give him Kindling 5. Each increase in Suitability quadruples the crafting speed.
And spend Pal Souls to get his crafting speed +30%.
Even if your Wixen has Artisan/WorkSlave and Serious (for +100% work speed), since a jormuntide has suitability 4 instead of Wixen's 3, even a base Jormuntide with no crafting passives would craft twice as fast as the amped up Wixen.
Note: Make sure your base has one of the flame cauldrons. That increases kindling speed by 20%.
Note: Make sure you base pals are eating salad (or pizza) for the +30% work speed.
Hey Axeman , easiest way to fix that base number issue , go to world settings , at the end of all the settings is a setting to increase the number of bases up to have at least 10 bases
Hey Axe, I think before worrying about building more things in your base, you should shuffle around the Pals that are working for you. Give them all the salads to eat too, that boosts their work output and increases sanity and stuff double good. I have just 1-2 of each role at the base, but theyre all level 3 or 4. I see around you have just some random Pals like Cattiva or Eiphidran for example, which I think at best are level 2 in a role. You don't want all-rounders because they get sidetracked from their job really easily. Also blocking off the mining/lumber plots at times is good to stop Pals gathering those for ages

Using a Jormuntide ignis is better for smelting ores like that as its got a lvl 4 kindling
Axe just to help you out, you can get the first raid boss tablets at the three wildlife sanctuary islands and the other two are based on levels on the dungeons
Im not that high a level, and i normally don't like watching ppl at like lv. 50 but this is lowkey entertaining :3
The grapple gun helps you move when your over encumbered I think. Also you should look at the glider
5:44 I think they make a base there first and then make the ingots and circuit boards that are needed.
I leveled up my weight mainly since I am a loot goblin. Then I built my 3rd base on the oil since I wanted to fast travel there.
DO IMMEDIATELY FOR ANYONE READING.
Put down 2 oil extractors and 2-3 large generators.
Breed jet dragon because needed for boss fight.
-necromanic and frostallion noct are options as well.
Additional notes
- laser gun and new rocket launcher are boss guns. (Haven’t tried the gunlet gun yet)
-The new oil rig location is extremely hard.
-Wait until level 55 to spawn the base bosses.
-Supply drops are great. 37 oil plus lendendary potion.
If you go into your World Setting you can change the amount of Bases you can have. Mine is maxed out at 10 :)
Dazemu my beloved, i legit work towards getting one as soon as possible when i start a new world. They are super fast ground mounts. I accidently bred a Knocklem, frostalion plus xenoguard. Should keep an eye out for meteors falling, its just like the supply drops but something very interesting guards the meteor.
Palmetal and higher metal ingots are made faster if the pal has a higher fire level. IIRC, Jormuntide Ignis is the highest with a level 4.

Yeah you definitely need to work on breeding some working pals, jormintide ignis is the best smelter/cooker Anubis for crafting

Sounds like you need to do a major shuffling of Pals and bases. Also im pretty sure you can lose the Metal base if you need to due to the new item for it.
You can put the oil rig down even if you don’t have a base there. It will just degrade over time

The reason it takes a long time for pal metal is because wixen has level 3 smelt jourmintide ingnis has level 4 it speeds the process up a decent bit
in settings you can max the limits too bases so you can get more basses
Look into finding/making some elixirs, there's some that will permanently raise your weight capacity. Also in settings, you can change it to have up to 10 bases now.

Question is, why do you need a metal base? I mean, you can simply plonk down an Ore Mine lvl 2 in one of your bases and you're golden.

if you want the materials for something in your inventory and dont want to run around and search all your chests then build the item you want and demolish it afterwards. the materials will be refunded into your inventory
