Did you have radiotherapy? I refused due to other health conditions, I have the same cancer and had a lumpectomy, can I ask how often after the operation do you have a check up?
1st thing is eating healthy cut-out all junk foods sugar, process food, pop, donuts, fries food 😊 i ate chickens, fish, fruits vegetables, water and organic if possible 😊 steam, soup, bake, grill 😊
Baked organic or regular chicken has linoleic acid in it. This increases inflammation in your body. Linoleic acid is in donuts, fries and potato chips. This stays in your body for 7 years.
The prayer of faith will heal the sick. JESUS CHRIST himself took our infirmities and bore all our sicknesses. Your mindset is super important, which it seems to me that you're onto it. Yes, you will have bad days. One needs to mourn too. But those are the odd days. I've finished my chemo on the 4th of July and my surgery is on the 1st of August, then I'll be cancer free too. You've got this. Keep going. In three months time you'll look back and say, I made it. 🤍

Hi Doc, I wish I saw this video before my Leukemia diagnosis in Jan. of '22. I'm 46 now and in remission. And I was in good shape. But right when I got that diagnosis, I just stopped exercising. And now, I'm at 142 lbs. Up from 180. So now working to take this weight off. I wish I had kept going to the gym. Kicking myself for it now. And I'd like to get back onto the dating scene again. Dr Amy, i hear that lifting weights increases risk of hernia; what are your thoughts of lifting weight after ovarian cancer (stage 3) related debulking surgery? Should we just restrict to body weight movements or are there guidelines for the type of exercises we can do?
Yes there are definitely guidelines. Lack of exercise does not help anything. You will still need to carry your groceries so eventually you will need to lift weights
@@dramycancerrecoverymakes sense. My doc said not to do anything that makes me strain my abdominal area due to the 60 odd stitches that went in during the surgery. Which one is better, animal or plant protein? Protein powder is bad?? And what about overhydration? I hear we should only drink when your body tells you to, which is being thirsty.
I am still on chemotherapy 1 1/2 years after being diagnosed with triple negative metastatic breast cancer which had spread to the omentum and peritonial cavity. Went through two major surgeries .The prognosis is not great but feeling ok except side effects of chemo .Taking a day at a time..

Is high protein intake safe for cancer patients? Glutamine fuels cancer growth too.
Protein powders are processed with artificial sweeteners and are full of contaminants. Also very insulin spiking.
Then just take natural protein food just like what sje did
I also read that collagen protein powder encourages tumor growth.
Eggs Fish like salmon 🍣 pilchards etc red meat all good protein
Plant based diet is better
If I may suggest, take real food protein.. Powdered form is processed
