The ONLY Live2D tutorial I have ever understood, thanks!
im so glad! I try to be clear with my explanations :3
my toxic trait is thinking I can do this no problem
Same
You believe you can!
Nah, you absolutely can. Maybe not right away. But eventually, with enough repetition and dedication to learn you will be able to 100%.
Why it became in black and white? 👀
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've been looking for a 2D animation program like this for so long.
I very much enjoyed learned. However I myself am a pngtuber and what you described was a discord reactive image.
Most pngtubers use Veadotube and it has 4 separate images for eyes and mouths opens and slots for extra expressions that can be assigned to hot keys. It’s very easy to use and opens my mouth when my mic hits a certain volume to make it look like I’m talking. I use a MMO mouse and can easily change expressions!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I’ve never done an animation before, I’ve barely even digitally drawn before but I was able to do a basic animated drawing thanks to you 😊❤
Oh thank you for making this video exist! This is so awesome!
You are also so pretty! Such a good video, helped so much!!!!💖
You made this so easy for me to understand, thank you!!!
This was Great thank you so much!
I watched it on 2x speed and it was both informative and hilarious! XD

I learned animating emotes by watching this very video so thank you!!
Thank you for sharing the knowledge 😊
Thanks for the video! This has helped me learn to animate for a 3rd time.
WOW. i just watched your sub badge video, and i was like "i wish there was a tutorial on how to animate an emote on L2D"... you're magical.
This helps out a lot since I'm curious on how it works. Thanks!
Yay! I’m glad I could help 🥰
u saved my life c: loved ur tutorial
Wow! You make it look so simple! This is amazing 🤩 keep it up!

hehe thank you too :3
Thx u so much for this tutorial!

Nice that Looks cool
ty very much appreciate it
Thank you so much, that Video helped me a lot to do my first ever GIFS out of my Emotes. c:
i hope you do more tutorials for live2d soon because yours is so helpful and easy to follow. if you don't mind me asking, do you have any tutorials on how to use physicis to make the emotes and pngtubers bouncy?
this has been an absolute life saver! I create vtuber models in live2d but I couldn't figure out how the actual animation portion worked. I wanted to make a cute streaming soon animation and this helped wonders :D
you here :0
@@KannieV2 I have been found. Duck and cover!!!!
I can say I was hard to see the mouse pointer... but did the job I wanted. Thanks
This was so helpful, thank you so much!
Thank you, you made it so easy to understand. Definently helped me grasp the basics of it!
I love this! Thank you so much! i ANIMTAED MY FIRST EMOTE! the question now is, how do i resize it to 112 px after exporting it
In the inspector tab, there is a resize canvas option. To shrink your image you hold down shift as you size it so you don’t squish it!^^
great video, thank you! i don't understand why the forg turned gray though
Also, Im importing a CSP file into Live2D and turning into a .psd file, but when I import the file I dont have my seperate layers.
How do would you overlay this onto a real life picture??, great video keep it up:)
When I exported the file as GIF, it doesn't loop like what yours look like. Anyone knows how to fix this? ;w;
how do you save it properly?
do you not use the texture atlas?
Is live2d free for the functionalities needed for this?
Anyone know if this can work with procreate files?
what program did you use to rig?
Yay! So I made my first gif thanks to you!
When exporting it you might just have to change the ratio a bit smaller so the file size isn't too big, or lower the FPS number ^^
Hey, shift key doesn't work for selecting them. I am confused.
this is much easier than making a vtuber,
my toxic trait is wanting to keep implementing new things to it then just give up on it after it gets too complicated then half a year later coming back on it
I got a question, I rigged my parameters, but when I opened the animation menu I couldn't click anything anymore O.o Do I maybe have the wrong format? (It's cmo3) or do you know how to fix this?
Hello ! Thank you for this great tutorial ! It helped me a lot. I just need a little help please !
I want to animate an emote, so it need to be in a square like 112px112px but it always display and export it in a 16:9 ratio
How can I set my own dimensions ?
Did u ever figure it out
Can't I just do this on Procreate?
please help, howd u import it on live2d with multiple parts? because im importing the file then its only 1 picture and not by parts.
You got to save it as a .psd without merging the layers.
what if i cant draw
It would be a bit more helpful if you showed the whole program, you make changes and You’re not explaining it or showing it so it leaves the viewers completely confused and unaware of what you just did although I do appreciate you sharing the basics.
just out of curiosity do you offer like art classes?!?!
i know you have many tutorials but im just curious
when I switch over to animation, all the film looking buttons are greyed out and I'm unable to click on them :') any idea why?
Me too any help pls q.q
ANY LUCK WITH THIS PLEASEE
Same happened for me, but I dragged the project file (cmo3) from the menu at the top right window down to the timeline and the "create movie" popped up. Worked and you can follow the video again after that.
Rectangles aren't showing up around my individual layers, there's no way I'm messing up something as simple as selecting them all with shift though :( o well
did you select all the layers in live2d on the left hand side :o i had an issue where it wasn't working until i realized i had no layers selected LOL
howd u save it by parts ?
You save it as a psd. You have to draw each part separately. So when you upload the psd into live2d it will already be in parts.
This was a really helpful video, Kat. I've been toying with the idea of trying to make my own emotes and overlays lately, so this really helps.
Do you know if you can
Import files from gimp2 into live2D? Or would I need to convert to photoshop?
TIA 😁
i guess that you have to convert
You can generate a PSD file with GIMP. You'll just need to select "Export As" in the File menu and find the option to "Select File Type (By Extension)" and select psd from there.
You can use this gif as a pngtuber still, and have one with open mouth etc to add more life :)
If only I can draw simple thing without making more and more layers only on front hair alone.
Do u help out new streamers I need friends and help
Is there a reason you didn't do all of this inside Photoshop?
16:21 I accidentally deleted my character here😨🚨
