      To have been legendary, the quality of play of both players would have needed to be at the highest level. Nadal was an unforced errors machine out there so no, that can't be considered ''legendary''. The only thing ''legendary'' was the outcome...

      LOL Really? :D Nadal's level was abysmal. Did you ever watch Nadal performance before at clay to call this one of the best matches? This was one of the worst Nadal's performances. Forhand precision, ripping through the court with forhands as usual - non existent tonigh. 4th set - Nadal was full of JUST unforced errors. Blew 2:0 lead.
      Worst match quality wise ever in SF. One of the best *dramatic* matches it was, but not quality tennis wise.

    I dont care who is the most elegant and classy. Tennis is not about the style of play and what shot looks the most beautiful. Its about the results. Novak is the greatest all around surfaces player and he is the goat ( 315 weeks number one while nadal has 209 weeks which shows novak's stability and consistency )

    • @R3L1KZ
      @R3L1KZ 3 года назад +2

      Greatest all around player who cant volley and hit overheads lol. He does well on all surfaces because the surfaces have been homogenised now and all play very similar to suit baseline style of play. He is without doubt the greatest all round baseliner but no way does he have the variety to be the best all rounder. For someone who doesn't care about style of play/elegance you sure have mentioned it a lot and also the fan love seems to annoy you too. Its ok to have your favourite and say certain numbers make them the best but when you then start to talk about other things you don't like making it clearly about a certain player (Federer) you just show your insecurity. Just enjoy all 3 of these legends while you can instead of complaining. For me Fed is goat due to style of play and you will have your own opinion that's fine but dont start making claims about whos the best all round player when you clearly have no tennis knowledge and havent been watching long enough to understand what an all round game is. How many times does Djokovic serve and volley at Wimbledon on his way to winning it the times he has? The answer to that alone shows how the surfaces have changed and that he is not as all round as you think. Most complete modern baseliner 100% but thats it. Appreciate all 3 while you can they wont be around forever.

    • @Curtainstag_e
      @Curtainstag_e 3 года назад +2

      @@R3L1KZ lets start with by saying that the argument " he has the best style of play, the most elegant and classy player " is not really and argument. Also, the argument " Federer is the most favourite and loveable person on the atp tour " is also not a stable point. GREATEST OF ALL TIME player is not determined by the fans and love or anything but by the results and records as I said before. Novak is overally the best player of all time ( the greatest anyone has been on all surfaces ) and it doesnt have to do with " my opinion or yours or anything " . Its a fact. Novak will always be the goat and he will prove it.
      If he gets all 4 grand slams this year and take a golden slam, you will also tell that federer is the best?

    • @_MrAvocado_
      @_MrAvocado_ 3 года назад +1

      Novak's best surface is hard, yes? Two slams are played on that surface. If two were on clay you'd be crying like a bitch because Rafa would have 30 slams at this point.
      _Novak is the greatest all around surfaces player_
      Let's go by results seeing as you inform us it is all abut that.
      Rafa: 2 on grass, 13 on clay, 5 on hard
      Novak: 5 grass, 12 hard, 1 on clay
      Rafa is actually a better all rounder than Novak!

    • @R3L1KZ
      @R3L1KZ 3 года назад

      @@Curtainstag_e It is a stable point that he is the most loved when he's won the fans favourite award 16+ years in a row. Also him being the most elegant is of course a factor as he has drawn the most viewers to the sport due to his style of play and that is a fact. Again as I said Novak is without doubt the most complete modern baseliner and he is playing in a time where all the surfaces play practically the same to benefit baseline style of play. How many Wimbledon title do you think he would have won if the grass was fast as it is supposed to be and require more serve and volley and net skills. Greatest of all time is an opinion there is no fact to prove it as the game always changes as I said surfaces, racket technology etc. This is the problem you Djokovic fans all get ahead of yourselves too much, he had a great win yesterday but he still needs to win Sunday. Anyone can take different 'facts' and use it to support there argument. For example I could pluck one out the air and say how is Djokovic the greatest when he lost slam finals and the number one ranking to Andy Murray when Federer never has he only ever lost the number 1 ranking to Nadal and Djokovic. Or I could say why has Djokovic lost to 4 different opponents at slam finals and Feder only 3. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying these are good arguments I'm simply showing an example of how anyone can take facts and use them to support their argument as this greatest of all time thing will be a never ending debate so just learn to appreciate all 3 of them. I'm a Feder fan use but first and foremost a tennis fan and tennis will have a big void once these 3 guys are gone.

    • @Curtainstag_e
      @Curtainstag_e 3 года назад

      @@R3L1KZ And i repeat that the fact that Federer was the loved one for 16 years or anything, had the most fans, was the most elegant and had the most beautiful style of play and shots simply DONT mean he is the GOAT just by this. GOAT has to be proven with results and not with statements like : Federer made famous tennis in the whole world, so he is the GOAT or his shots are the most beautiful. Its not about beauty or elegance, its about results and records breaking. Even though you dislike Djokovic bc he doesnt have humour or anything or i dont know why everyone doesnt like him, he is still the GOAT and he will prove it. If he gets 4 grand slams in this year and olympic medal then your fave federer still be the GOAT because of his elegance and style?

      One thing against Tsissipas is that he has played a 5 setter and Novak played a 4 setter in the semis but age could neutralize that.
