This channel is just complete top to bottom piece by piece. I watch every video even if i have no intention on the gun just for the quality of it. I have leaned a lot here. Thanks for all your work.
I mainly own Marui's. But I really enjoy your well explained, and thought out videos. I find them great to watch and informative! Looking forward to more content from you guys
Own a few custom VT myself as shown in my channel. One of the things that get to me is their aluminum barrel extension, especially when you have a steel bolt slamming into it. You can see the wear/imprint marks on the barrel extension from the face of the carrier. I swapped it out with Prime M4 steel barrel extensions with a VFC hop up chamber and it's much better now
Amazing work. Gonna have to try the bolt hold open mod to see if it becomes more positive. Looking forward to see what you've got for magazines as well.
Oh hell, I'm feeling so left behind. I've got an old 2011 era M4A1 I just dug out of my storage unit. Planning to clean it up and get it ready to run again. Back when I bought it there was ZERO information on the internet about them save for a few manufacturer videos and one or two scattered forum posts. Thanks for the great info! What would be a solid source for the 2022 hop up assembly? I can find buckings all day but none specify what iteration they are? I still have a few spares I ordered...ten years ago.
Hey there- just FYI, since you have a very old VT, there will be some differences from modern guns, and reference material on Inokatsus will be more accurate to yours. As far as new parts, the best ways to get them are to order through KIC or through VT themselves via their Facebook page. The buckings were updated in late 2021, so hopefully at this point all websites selling VT parts have the new style.
thank you so much for your work on these videos, you're really helping and provide good information! (+ congratulations for having a scientific process. as a industrial engineer I really appreciate it) I wish you the best and will definitely use your work on my VT
Externals are less critical and should hold. It's the grub screws securing the barrel and the ones securing the hop unit to the chamber that need to be tight and threadlocked.
As a non-owner of VT, are they really better than GHK in part desings? 2 years with mine using welding gas (aka propylene or mapp gas) even in hot summer and not breakage at all in any part, seen VT breaking bolt carrier where the nozzle guide sits, but in GHK is much beefier, so as the bolt catch and bolt catch wall for example.
We hope to do a comparative review of different brands of AR in the future, but for now, while the GHK carrier is a pretty robust design the issues we've seen have occurred in the receivers and ancillary parts (primarily bolt catch and buffer). We haven't experienced any failure of the VT nozzle guide, but will definitely update if that occurs.
You mention in the video that you apologise for calling Waldo out, but to my understanding of Waldo's video, you agreed with his point about a high BB quality needed? One of Waldo's points was that he saw it as a disadvantage that vipertechs can/should only run on BLS and highest quality BBs? Edit: excellent video as always and I am continually impressed by the technical know-how you present so well in all of the videos on this channel.
You got it on all counts. We just wanted to stress that specifically mentioning Waldo and a solution to his feed woes wasn't meant to be an attack- we appreciate and agree with much of his review.
This is a magnificent video. The amount of work that’s gone into compiling the information is astounding.
Thanks for all you guys do.
May i ask what Optic is that?

Grinding the bucking lip completely fixed my feeding issue on VT. Thank for your helpful video.

Hi Catguts, I encountered exactly the problems you mentioned, very helpful video, thank you

It nice to see I'm not the only one who likes wood on an A1. 👍😁👍
We think you're going to like Part 2. Check back next Friday.
Magnificent video as always, cannot wait to see part two.
Awesome video!!

@@ExplosiveEnterprises I got kicked off of Facebook back in January for not falling into lockstep with the narrative and commiting thoughtcrime.
@@ExplosiveEnterprises and thank you by the way for both the excellent videos and the helpful replies!
Great video, love your Colt LSW build.

Perfect review as always.
When you say to threadlock all the screws in the barrel assembly, does that includes gas block/handguard screws as well ?
Externals are less critical and should hold. It's the grub screws securing the barrel and the ones securing the hop unit to the chamber that need to be tight and threadlocked.

Awesome video as always! Loving your npas btw :)
