This is such a lovely pairing of voices. Pomme is one of my favorite singers. There's something about the texture of her voice that's so distinctly French but clearly individual as well. A great one to check out is her singing Les Oiseaux in a some ruins.

Translation of the French verses (not my translation, from Aurora wiki):
    Somewhere before dawn
When the light wants to see us
Somewhere in the world, a bird falls asleep
    Quietly, you and me
In the night, we will find
    Somewhere to drop off
    The flowers that we picked
    Leave before dawn
When the light wants to see us
Somewhere in the world, a bird falls asleep
    Quietly, you and me
In the night, we will find
    Somewhere to drop off
    The flowers that we picked
    Leave before dawn
When the light wants to see us
Somewhere in the world, a bird falls asleep
    Quietly, you and me
In the night, we will find
    Somewhere to drop off
    The flowers that we...

Wow, you are SO inspiring ! Your words echoed in my heart and soul so deeply... I feel so connected to Nature and everything you said was so meaningful... I happen to be French and I've been following Pomme tracks for several years and her universe is kind of very similar to Aurora's universe. Pomme has reached such a level you might be interested by hearing her now... She's one of a kind and I don't usually feel this way about French music, honestly. She's always stunning when singing live, and her voice sounds ethereal and full, yes, but she's also a soprano and she's even working on her vocals to reach higher notes, and there's another version of the duet with her singing in high tune, she's got a big range... Also she sings this song by herself in festivals and adds another dimension of her own. Now they have kind of similar spirits, and Pomme has come to add grace in the way she moves, she's become more enchanting, she got something special and as I said I don't usually listen to French music. Here's another live recording. Listen from 2.02, ruclips.net/video/pXYao8-SZKE/видео.html if you will.
Also I can give you a translation of the ending in French :
    Somewhere before dawn
When the light wants to see us
Somewhere in the world, a bird falls asleep
    Quietly, you and me
We will find in the night
A place to put the flowers we have picked
Here's a link to a song she sang on stage : if you wanna hear her high notes go to the end... but she can reacher real higher notes now.ruclips.net/video/-8IDaIm6Vss/видео.html. She sounds even better live than in her studio recordings. It would be very interesting to hear you about the way you hear her vocals now... She keeps improving from every point of view. Her songs ae really special.
Thank you so much, I'm glad I found you, of course I subbed you. All the best,
    Liza

I loved it when you spoke about Scandinavians and nature, I had never heard someone said in the context of music, it but since the early 2000's, with other Scandinavian bands and singers, I had felt some of that. When Aurora started, she reminded me vaguely of Björk, not so much musically (although there is something too) as much as her relationship to nature - and this was before I even knew Aurora was Scandinavian too. Some arrangements from her EP Infections of a Different Kind also reminded me of Sigur Ros. I love how her music is bringing some of that Scandinavian sound back into the mainstream, and adding her own creativity and personality. I feel like we need more of that contact with nature these days.
About Pomme: I recommend you listen to "On brulera", the first time I heard it, it brought tears to my eyes. It has, I think, great vocal dynamics ranging from low notes to head voice, sometimes with a soft transition, others with a raspy voice. She's a very skilled performer and songwriter!

    Great reaction 😊
Yes, this is Auroras song, but she got Pomme to write the part in french.
When Aurora made the album there was covid restrictions., so Pomme couldn’t come and do the song together. So in the album version Pomme only sings the french part with Aurora singing the high notes , they put Auroras voice in afterwards.
And finally they could meet and do this beautiful performance together ❤️
    About the song
In an interview shortly after the release, Aurora stated:
"It's a very strange story [...] a story I would like for people out there to figure out themselves. I contacted a French artist, Pomme, to write the ending for me. And it is beautiful. Sensual. And real. I do often feel like this world is trying to make me focus on all these great miracles. And somehow I feel like it makes me miss out on the small ones. And that is sad. Because the small miracles happen all the time. Sometimes several times a day. And I want to see all of them. Because everything matters."
On a livestream by Pomme, Aurora further recounted how their collaboration came to be:
"I made my album in a castle in Norway, and it has French history. And this man lived in this castle like hundreds of years ago, and he was French, Marcus Gerhard. And he loved art and music and he celebrated and invited people and I thought it would be a nice way to honour this French castle by having you."
Aurora later explained to Apple Music:
"I don't normally do features. I knew a bit about [Pomme] because she's extremely sweet and very talented. I wanted to include some Frenchness on the opening song as a gift to the castle that gave me a lot of the inspiration to finish this album. I asked her if she could write the ending of my song in French, and she wrote a beautiful story about the flowers we picked in all of your favourite places. It is an ode to Baroniet (Baroness) Rosendal."

I'm hoping Aurora does a lot more collaborations. She was part of a panel discussing the treatment of women and minorities in the music industry, where it was suggested that artists really need to work together and help each other out. Maybe she took that to heart, because she's really been pushing for collaborations lately. She seems to have developed a pretty good friendship with Pomme outside of this collaboration, and is working with Askjell (Same management company) a lot who seems to be a pretty good friend of hers. She collaborated with Sondre Lerche, and now she's collaborating with Qing Feng from China I believe. (She just released a teaser as I write this)
This video is really an example of how much Aurora has matured over the years, and in this internet age, you can see the transformation with just a few clicks on youtube. Her lyrics are more mature and composed, flowing seamlessly. With the pandemic, I imagine she had plenty of time to sit down and really refine these songs. That's a bit bittersweet since there was some charm in the older darker less refined music, whereas some of these new songs are almost as smooth as silk and as perfect as classical music. Her latest album was inspired by mythology, and it oozes the feeling of Ancient / Classical Greece, singers with harps and lutes and high pitched voices singing angelically, philosophical scholars like Socrates and Plato lecturing their students, temples, belief in the Gods, bath houses, wine, grapes, free expression, free love, plenty of blood, and of course nature far more integrated into daily life than it is today...
Aurora's almost like a method actor; she's become an ancient Greek goddess for this album.
As to her singing and mannerisms, is it just me or has she started singing at higher octaves more regularly, which I'm wondering if it may have something to do with the pandemic, because she would have been at home speaking Norwegian almost entirely; likely at a higher octave versus the UK sounding English she spoke when she was younger. Her arm movements are more controlled and precise, her fashion style is like renaissance period dresses at times or early 20th century (1930s ish) dresses and jewelry. But then you watch her tiktok or instagram, and she still has that child like playfullness and innocence in her daily life.
Her current tour has her looking far more relaxed, with way more dancing and floating around the stage as if she's in the middle of a forest or outside in an Greek temple under the moon or in the sun, or whatever she needs that huge orb behind her to be for the song. She's spending a lot of time during her shows talking to her audience, joking with them, spreading some philosophy and love, and making everyone feel at home. It's super charming and brings people together. She seems to genuinely be enjoying herself. And she's always been funny, but now she's really running with the comedy bit.

Hi, Pomme wrote and sang the French part of the song. I also met Pomme through her collaboration with AUROR. I've now heard many of her songs and I'm hooked. However, this is time consuming for me. I can not speak French. I had Latin at school. I listen to the song and then look for the lyrics and have them translated or look for a ready-made translation. I don't trust Google translator. It is sometimes mistranslated. And even I can see that. Then I hear the song again. But it's worth it. Pomme is a great storyteller and not unlike AURORA. However, in many cases the music is like the beautiful old French chansons. I especially like "Pauline".
Pomme was born on August 2nd, 1996 in Lyon, France. She is a singer, musician and web video producer. She received a very religious upbringing. She began writing and composing songs at the age of six. She learned the cello at the age of eight and by the age of 16 was already performing in bars and pubs in Lyon. She has acquired many musical skills by being self-taught. She has released 2 albums (2017 and 2018). The second won an award. Themes such as nature, love, death and other social issues with a romantic connection play an important role in Pomme's songs and albums. In her love songs, she repeatedly refers to her homosexuality.

Hi ! What a lovely reaction, it was very nice ^^
Pomme (you have pronounced it very well by the way) is my favorite french singer since two years. She has a very warm and emotionnal voice and she's so talented : her lyrics are very deep, meaningful and her music is just absolutely beautiful. I felt in love with her album "Lss failles" meaning "the failures" where she sing about the failures of her life : anxiety, love break, alzheimer disease, but always with lot of grace.
I was so happy when i eared about a duet between Aurora and Pomme because i love them so much.
If you want to discover a few of her music (it's all live session) :

    Anxiété (Anxiety) ruclips.net/video/7ORSodCFJWg/видео.html
    Les Oiseaux (The Birds) ruclips.net/video/hpNtME-e0XY/видео.html
She often perform alone with her autoharp, i have discovered this instrument with her and it's very very charming and beautiful. She make lot of live session, alone or with freinds of her.
You can find often translation of her lyrics in the comment section.

This performance is sheer musical genius.
But you really don't need to be a bigot about Scandinavian people. Sure, there are people in Sweden, Norway, Iceland Denmark and Finland who are very attuned to nature. But it's not obligatory, and you simply cannot make such a sweeping generalisation.
And, while the far north of Norway, Sweden and Finland does get severe weather, most of the population of those three countries lives in the south, which is around the same latitude as Scotland for Norway and Sweden. And all of Denmark is further south than the northern half of Scotland.
In the southern parts of Scandinavia, the climate is milder than, say, South Dakota. And would you judge all of the people in South Dakota based on just the climate? No. So don't do it for anywhere else.
