For my sniffer farm, i just threw 2 allays in with them. I then set 3 hoppers in a row in front of a Note Block in the wall that is on a ~25 second timer (Etho clock i think?). It was fairly simple and pretty cheap as well.
If you turn on hit boxes, then you'll see that the hopper minecarts hit box is larger than a full block. That means that it extends up into the block above it and is able to suck things down. I think the first automatic farm I built was the guardian farm I put on my brother's server.
There's also a spawner minecart that must be summoned in with commands. They behave like normal spawners for the most part. The first fully auto farm I built was a moss-based bonemeal farm.
Ooof, same. I lost track of the number I built... I was playing on the Playstation edition before they made the switch to bedrock... so even bedrock iron farms didn't work for me 😂
Mine was a bee farm and I also didn't know java and bedrock were a thing and then I didn't know how you found out what you were playing on lol. My bee farm didn't work either and many bees died due to my stupidity bahaha I said screw redstone stuff and that I would just manually get my stuff. Now a few months later I'm fairly good at redstone and love it and can't function without it bahahah
@@ephyewt00Yeah, I originally played the Xbox 360 version which then changed to the Xbox one version which then changed to bedrock. I just recently switched to Java on PC solely for the shaders (I will still play bedrock on Xbox though). I still end up wasting time building farms that don’t work on one or the other. I try and read comments to see if the farms are compatible before starting. Sometimes I try it out in creative as well.
Great episode! I love the sniffers and their flowers. The build looks fantastic! My first farm I made was me trying to figure out red stone and I made a small bamboo farm with a lever I could hit and the pistons would go at the same time as the minecart. I was pretty proud of that farm even though it was ugly and took awhile to figure out. The second one was your pumpkin farm. :)
I'm pretty sure the first auto farm I made in a survival world was a chicken cooker. It was before entity cramming (1.8, I think), so it was super overpowered lol
After you've gotten your first automatic farm, it might be time to consider a lightning rod and talk about how it works, and why it's useful for saving you precious animals and builds.
I lost a mending villager to lightning in my first trading hall 😭 I had an iron farm on top and hadn’t fully built the hall yet. That was a difficult lesson.
OOH i just got a sniffer yesterday! Looking at one of the other comments,i made the 3rd bamboo farm on bedrock from the 3 must have farms and it kind of works, sadly bedrock flying machines actually suck. It goes back and forth a lot and i do have to move the minecart myself / mudge it but i cant wait to get my hands on a proper sniffer farm soon! Thank you Wattles imma watch this rn!
i'm just catching up on this series now, and i am SO stoked to see the color palette of this base so far !! my immediate thought for building in the cherry grove was to mix in some warped/soul blocks, and i'm glad wattles had the same idea! i just think the aqua looks sooo pretty with the pastel pink. ages and ages ago, i tried to make a fake beach out of pink concrete powder & aqua stained glass (so as not to turn the concrete powder solid), and the build i put on top used a lot of warped blocks to match. it's really cool that there are more pink blocks available now! i mean, i guess there's always wool, but that's not what i want to build a house out of, and that still leaves out stuff like doors. anyway, i suppose i just wanted to say i'm stoked that wattles and 1.20 have made my minecraft build color palette dreams a reality :)
hey wattles a little tip try to place farms involving hopper minecart in one chunk if you can so that if the chunks in that area are not loaded then it wont stop
I guess the first automatic farm I built would technically be a general mob farm on pocket edition before Redstone was added, but after that it was definitely a sugar cane farm, and then straight into an iron farm
The first automatic farm I ever built in Minecraft was an auto-harvesting wheat farm back before pistons were officially in the game. I used the piston mod because the only other method at the time was gravel or sand to drop and block a water stream until a lever was flipped and dropped the block to allow the water to flow long enough to harvest the wheat. This would've been early 2011 before 1.7 when pistons were officially added.
This is my first time seeing a sniffer hatch, like I never had done this in creative or survival. (Bc my worlds don't last long even if there really good. I blame my attention span)
Hey wattles, I'm just too excited to see the storage building since from Minecraft Guide season 3 I didn't think you would top the Cathedral in Minecraft Survival 1.18-1.19 but yeah you did with the white storage building with 666 chests. So I can't wait to see if you can top that too
After recently setting up my own sniffer farm that's extremely inefficient because I was determined it be aesthetic, i know how much time you spent on this video alone
My first automatic farm was bonemeal. It wasnt fully automatic but all i had to do was drop items in the top chest and it would go for ages and saved me so much time so it felt prettt automatic to me
I made one of these in my world. The ground is all moss blocks, since they can dig in them and it halves the time needed for hatching. Then, i enclosed the area in glass, and have allays collecting all the drops. I even went back and added a hopper clock with noteblocks. This makes the allays throw the items at the notblocks instead of me, and i can just put a single hopper on the ground by it to collect the items.
My first auto farm was a cactus farm. They are so easy to build, and they're easy to make a pleasing building around. Also 0-tick farms are still in bedrock
about music: Have you heard of Low Roar? I think you'd like his vibe. Very chill songs. If you haven't come across his works yet - I don't really have an album I could recommend. Maybe "Once in a long, long while", is probably his best. I encourage you to check out all his songs though. Its such a shame he's no longer with us.
Looks nice you could possibly do some Hermitcraft if they let you in, but they do have some nice intuitive intervention methods in the box world of minecraft.
Imma be honest I don’t think I’ve ever build an automatic farm in Minecraft. The only red stone related farm build I can remember building is the one he made in of the the Guide seasons where you flip a lever and water spews out breaking fully grown wheat.
I think the pitcherpod makes cyan dye.... for cyan carpet... which seems ok because they're abundant... even though they're special and shouldn't be used for dye
Im on bedrock and the minecart hopper is not picking up the items and i have done it exactly like how wattles did it in the video and also a rail on top of a regular hopper if i place an item on top of the rail that is placed above the hopper it will also not go into the hopper and into the chest. Does this not work on bedrock? Does anybody know what to do ?
Have they implemented crouch/sneek with trap door yet into the game without using the experimental mode yet? If not when will it be added to console? 🤔
For Bedrock gang we can attach the sniffer to a lead in a small fenced in area & it will ignore the mechanic where it rembers the blocks it dug in for seeds. Great for compact budget friendly farm. ( credit to Silentwisperer)
Can you make a video of you making a sniff house design Or make a video about this one but step by step. Cuz lowkey trying to make the same build in my world 😭😭😭😭😭 it’s a beautiful design please
My first farm was the bee farm eyemc has a tutorial for and i had no idea java and bedrock were a thing and it failed miserably and many bees died and i was stung a lot bahahah i had no idea what i was doing then 😂 those poor bees
what build does our world need next episode friends?! 👀👀
You should make a bedrock to build limit sugar cane farm. Ibxtoycat would be so proud!
Either iron or bamboo.
a sniffer statue
Rollercoaster down the cliff for sure
A cathedral. It'd refresh my/our memory of Minecraft Guide Season 3.
12:38 DUDE I WAS ACTUALLY STANDING THE WHOLE EPISODE i just finished doing dishes and this part came up so i actually sat down very cool
For my sniffer farm, i just threw 2 allays in with them. I then set 3 hoppers in a row in front of a Note Block in the wall that is on a ~25 second timer (Etho clock i think?). It was fairly simple and pretty cheap as well.
Wattles, put the sniffers on mud blocks, they can still dig and then you only need hoppers to pick everything up.
But wouldn’t that use more iron than a rail system?
@@Veltreeyes, but minecarts are noisy. So there are both options. Rails seem more lag friendly tho
All those Hoppers would be way more lag heavy than simple rail lines.
Especially it being centrally located in his base. They would be loaded all the time
hopper minecart railway system will do the trick!
If you turn on hit boxes, then you'll see that the hopper minecarts hit box is larger than a full block. That means that it extends up into the block above it and is able to suck things down. I think the first automatic farm I built was the guardian farm I put on my brother's server.
Damn, crazy first farm.
Wow great idea!! I never would have even thought of doing this aha!

actually you just reminded me that i reeeeaaally need a bamboo farm... 👀
how is this comment that old

Why? The sniffers are useless
@@EmperorPenguin1217 I guess it depends on how you play the game. I like them because they add life to the area and you get some cool looking plants.

My first automatic farm, was a wool farm. Based on the one you did in the Jungle base.
i havent played minecraft in a couple years but i started watching your videos again and my favorite thing is the ice spice inserts like

Great episode. But what happened to ur hardcore chunk series??
the Frist auto farm i made was a villager breeder! i followed one of your videos on how to do it! Works like a charm
My first farm was Wattles’ auto sugar cane farm. Still build it in every world ☺️

My first was a fish farm. At the time my base was between the badlands, the desert and the ocean. It was my only source of food for a while.
Wattles has the best music of any minecraft youtuber, and it's not close.
I never really listened to Post Malone but wow I'm impressed with the Austin album. Such raw emotion in "Don't Understand."
I was trying to build a sniffer farm but never knew how this vid is perfect
Posty's new album Austin is 100/10, Don't Understand is one of my favorites!
After recently setting up my own sniffer farm that's extremely inefficient because I was determined it be aesthetic, i know how much time you spent on this video alone
I've never heard someone so happy in seeing a baby sniffer...

omg ill check it! ive never heard of that
I LOVE YOU WATTLES YOUR OP
Love this build and watching you build! Wool farm early??? 🤔
👀
Tip: Make a chunk loader so your farms are always working! Also congrats on being a sniffer father! Welcome Dadles!

Sniffer names: Sniffles and Digolotl
my first auto farm was an iron farm .I love you videos by the way
your videos i mean
Bonus build for tomorrow should be finishing the hosue interior
I play Minecraft so much and I built my own sniffer farm already

Wither skeleton trident farm. I don’t know why I did that to myself to be honest, but I did get rid of all those slabs I accidentally made.

Your world is still missing a true auto chicken scrambler 😅
Could have used 2 alays.... To make them drop the sniffer seeds at one hopper near a note block
Have they implemented crouch/sneek with trap door yet into the game without using the experimental mode yet? If not when will it be added to console? 🤔
Could make a lava farm from the drip stone cave
I love your vids wattles keep up the good work! ❤
Did they fix the bug on bedrock where running minecarts can disappear on chunk borders when loading?
Wattles please add episode number on the thumbnail 🙏 It kinda hard identifying your guide videos from your normal video
What’s the estimated days until the next world downlaod come out
First automatic farm... Villager when by doors in a village was the mechanic, unintentionally.
Pumpkin/ watermelon when intentionally made.
Kelp farm. Bamboo farm is my next project

Deepslate buttons on founder statue for eyes?
The excitement and wholesomeness Wattles experiences when playing Minecraft; thats how excited i want to be about life 🥲

Base Name: The Forever Endeavor
You need an iron farm for sure! Also, I like your bonus build idea.
thank u!!
The auto farms I used to make, Mojang nerfed it. I used to always did an auto fish farm.
you should build an iron farm or auto crop farm.
What if the hopper redstone crafting table leak picture was hinting at a new villager? one that trads redstone components.
omg
tip: use mud instead of grass block and save iron(then u dont need hopper minecarts and rails only hoppers.)
Definitely make the sniffer field out of mud, there is no 8 minute reset for finding flower seeds with mud
watl. i must know the name of the first song, the one that sounds like a kazoo goin off
please !!
You could put one of the sniffer eggs in an item frame so it isn't stuck in the chest!
Wattles did you listen to the same “Austin” that I did? like I didn’t like the album at all
The first automatic farm I made was a cow crusher… is that automatic? Anyhooz, thanks for it ;)
Why do you always build a vine farm to make mossy things when you can do it with moss block?
The first farm I built was a bedrock farm (yes, seriously) back in like 2017
Automatic chicken cooker and feather farm, before observers were a part of the game
yup I notest the floating torch flower a while ago. it annoys me so much
Not sure you’re gonna be happy you put the minecart so close to the house. They’re so noises
My very first automatic farm was a chicken farm
how do I become a channel member
I knew it's a sniffer farm!
Putting moss under the sniffer eggs will make them hatch faster
Can you make a Bedrock farm for this, so we can have fun with the sniffers too?
My first auto farm was a day 1 iron farm
My first farm was a baby sugarcane farm
My first farm was the bee farm eyemc has a tutorial for and i had no idea java and bedrock were a thing and it failed miserably and many bees died and i was stung a lot bahahah i had no idea what i was doing then 😂 those poor bees
I play Bedrock I used the Allay for the auto collection system for my farm
Don't forget you can craft mossy cobblestone using moss blocks
omg
Camawalttle sitting in his hole watching wattles building a beautiful home for the sniffers. 👁️👄👁️
My first farm ever was probably infinite kelp farm
You should be able to wax a sniffer egg to prevent it from hatching.
Can’t wait to hear the base name
Well, about that...
@@tonalspace1942 ??
Well apparently there is a pig minecart...
