Paul is continuing his explanation from chapter 6 where he states in verse 7: "For he that is dead is free from sin." As long as we are still married to the old man of sin we CANNOT be married to Christ! THAT is the illustration Paul is using about "marriage" in chapter 7!

Mrs. White makes it clear we cannot separate Christ from the Law for the Law is a representation of HIS character, HIS thoughts and feelings!

What Pastor Gibson is saying is true. I don’t think he is saying Christ and the Law is separated. The law should transfer from stone to the heart. The law can only take you to Christ., like mirror shows your defects. If you dwell on using the mirror the clean.. it can’t do it. It’s ONLY Jesus that can save! Not the law.. it only shows the what we should do.

In verse 4 Paul is speaking about the law of the carnal nature NOT the Law of God! And please tell me if someone is walking in the Spirit of the Law will they be breaking the letter of the law?

It's certainly talking about the law of God because in verse 6 it calls it the written code. The law of sin was never written. The later verses confirm that.
