@@MattRuns Hi Matt, really appreciate you watching and your positive comments, I love running events especially and being amongst others, enjoying the moment, “we’re only here once” I often say😊
Hi Reto, thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience. My time was a bit of a disappointment as I hadn't ever run slower than 56 minutes in a 10K before - however I knew at 3/4K that I just didn't have the energy so decided to capture as many of the sights and sounds as possible for the video and forego the time. We also hooked up with some London-based athletes in Albert Schloss bar afterwards and we had an absolute blast. I love being amongst runners, everyone is equal no matter how fast you are!
Great vlog mate. You did well in the end, even if the lack of recent training showed itself in the finish time. The London scenery was superb. Sounds like it's exciting new shoe time as well. Can't wait to see what you get 💪👍
@@markg99 Many thanks Mark, it took ages to stitch it all together but I decided to film more when I realised sub-60 was slipping away. I think I’ll return next year, I can do so much better if I’m trained and prepared😊 Shoes, I quite enjoyed the trail race in July so it’s just a question of what to get, so much choice, brands and models😩I’m thinking of Mizuno Wave Rider 28 for the road shoe, they’re just a bit expensive at the moment😊
Well done for getting it done even when you weren't feeling it. I always think it shows great respect to the course and the other people around you! Hopefully it will come together for you for Manchester!
Thanks Ian, as I lined up at the start I honestly thought I’d be around 55 minutes, but at 4K it just wasn’t happening and the cramp was a real surprise🙁I’m in two minds on Manchester as I have cut my mileage back so much to help the plantar healing🤔
Cheers Andy, really enjoyed this. You seemed to perfectly capture the day and while the time may not have been what you wanted, the experience seemed to certainly make up for it. Cracking video pal.
Thanks Craig, even though we were concerned about the weather, it really was The Great Escape as I said on camera before the race😅I love events like this and I decided to film more than planned when I just wasn’t feeling strong. I think there’s unfinished business here with 1:06 on the board😂 Appreciate your support and hope the injury is healing🙏
Thanks Rich, we got away with the weather for sure and I’d intended to film every 2K but with my lack of training I struggled and decided to film a lot more and capture the sights and sounds of the race. I think I need to get myself fit again and return for a good PB in 2025😊💪
Well done. I think that’s a great time considering. Well done to Rob on his speedy time too!!
@@jennyharrison4 Thanks Jenny, all told, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll be sure to let Rob know😊Thanks for your support😊
Top video, Andy.. honest and raw 👍🏻👍🏻 very good effort, and I love the enthusiasm, even when things weren't going well 👍🏻

Hi Andy, what an awesome course through London and love the crowds and bands. 1:06:38 is a great time! Congrats and well done.

Love that Andy, what a route. I was unsuccessful in the ballot but will try again next year. It is on my bucket list
