I thought in another video you explained that the music industry when adjusted for inflation was actually worse. So how would this be an inflation hedge? Or why would it be a place someone would think to put their money? I get that it’s an asset, but if inflation adjusted returns is worse than the asset can produce, then why think about investing in it? Speculation?
it's not an inflation hedge - money printing is stimultive to risk assets by nature
@arketing Can you clarify what you mean? at around 12:00 to 12:50 you talked about people were looking for places to put their money since it is worth less. You did mention tangible assets including art work and music catalogs in there insinuating that its a place to retain its value being an inflation hedge. I get the blockchain side being speculative for now. It just seemed like it was being looked at as a new potential physical asset?
dollar inflates because more dollars being printed equals more debt being issued at lower interest rate
this is stimulative for all risk assets
is not inflation hedge; inflation and rampant speculation just go hand in hand

There's no way inscriptions are going to help digital content. You can still copy data that is a game, song etc, and you don't lose utility of the file....you would need intellectual property law enforcement to make inscriptions effective to prevent what we have now which is piracy.
inscriptions can adequately decentralize proof of history in a way that IPFS and the Copyright Office cannot, so yes inscriptions can impact the function of intellectual property
ok so what problem is that actually solving? maybe some content creators (RUclips/Tik Tok) don't get DMCAed when they use a song? It doesn't solve piracy or ensure creatives get paid effectively.
@caseyjones3522 oh to be perfectly clear, there is no web3 application that solves any real world problem besides stablecoins and maybe payment gateways.
But that won't stop it from being a thing that people try to do and speculate on.
