Hey! Can you help with this case- You suggested physical viewing and then proceeding with the booking but what to do when you are in a different country (say India)? By the time I travel to Ireland, it will be quite late and most places would already be taken. What is the best suggested approach in such cases? Also, is there a way to check if a rental agreement is valid/legit or not? Thanks in advance.
Hi, you can opt for virtual viewing. Request your landlord to get your agreement registered from RTB (Residential Tenancies Board). Please checkout the link provided. www.rtb.ie/check/index.html
Thank you very much for the vital information. I wish to relocate to Ireland next year summer. Which part of Ireland accomodation is easy to get? Because I want my family to be with me be for two years. Thank you. My name is James.
Hi, you’re welcome. Getting an accommodation is difficult in cities like Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick but you will find more job options in these cities. Try to move to county side, if you get a job.
Hi, thank you for your suggestion. Please watch the video attached for the basic insurance plan and check the description of the video to visit insurance companies websites. You can compare the plan & prices. It’s online and easy to apply. If you have any questions, let me know. ruclips.net/video/jnTk3jtTqg0/видео.html
As a landlord in Ireland I can endorse the tip on sending an e-mail. I have many people who can clear the general viewing hurdles. It is much less risky to rent to someone who not only can pay, but shows an interest in renting this particular place. I also agree that first rent and security deposits should not be in cash. One of my concerns is that the means of paying rent that you showed during the application process are really yours. An envelope of cash does not show this. Great if I want to rent without any attention from Revenue or RTB, but otherwise it is just an increase in risk for me.
Thank you for sharing your perspective as a landlord. I can see how risky it can be to rent to someone who pays deposits in cash. Out of curiosity, do you have any advice for a first time renter who is a recent graduate and starting a new job?
@@ibrahim_salaou The current market conditions gives a landlord a strong incentive to bend the rules. Such a landlord may initially offer what seems to be good rates but will be slow on repairs and will try to raise rents faster than allowed. The first step is to check that the tenancy is registered. www.rtb.ie/check/index.html Then, have your diploma and job letter ready to show. Next, be careful who you vote for. The current housing market is broken because insufficient supply of new housing is being built and more and more units are being taken off the rental market.
Hi, you can come for further education if you are not eligible for work permit but I am afraid that would cost you a lot. Please click the below link to get in touch with this education firm and ask them if they can help you with courses here & study loan. www.fateheducation.com/ (Please Note- I don’t have any connections with the above education firm. I got their contact from the students who came here through this agency.)
