Vlad, he was a 25-1 underdog, only got down to 5-1 bc the smart bettors knew that Holyfield vs. the Incredible Hulk wouldnt be 25-1, too good odds to pass up.
Vlad skipped over the 5th round when Tyson won it and drilled Holy with his best shots, his vicious hooks, and the right hook body/uppercut to jaw, all landed flush, and Holy sucked it up. He also ignored that the 6th round headbutt was a result of Tyson launching himself into the side of Holy's head like a f'n battering ram in a eay that would make Victor Ortiz blush. But Holy gets the bad rap thanks to excuse makers Horne, Holloway, and King.
That right to the body/right uppercut was thrown as beautifully and landed as clean as it ever was in Mike’s career. The victory for Evander was all the sweeter for him having to walk through the fire.
@@billdouglas8701 Indeed. Not to mention the two crazy R/L hooks he landed as Evander got a little overconfident coming in just prior to that. I remember Czyz/Albert yelling, "that hurt!" Holyfield’s counterpunching and height-reach advantage is what completely negated Mike’s explosiveness. In the very first round, Holy has already completely stymied Tyson’s forward march. Vlad, he was a 25-1 underdog, only got down to 5-1 bc the smart bettors knew that Holyfield vs. the Incredible Hulk wouldnt be 25-1, too good odds to pass up.
I can't wait for that Evander Holyfield "I Say I Say" remix to come out.
His head is his third fist, well known.
I remember Czyz/Albert yelling, "that hurt!" Hell, the 1st punch he threw and landed in the first second of the 1st round would've knocked down most of Tyson's prior opponents. But as Real Deal said in that awesome Showtime post fight special, "I truly believe, Mike can beat everybody else, but me. I know he has fast hands, and he hits real hard...but I can take it! But I have fast hands, and I hit hard...can Mike take what Evander do?" LOL. Awesome stuff..I also remember sometimes in the middle late rounds of the fight, Vander was walking Mike down and in control, and he almost taunted him with an indignant smile and said something like that in my head I imagined as, "Yeah, I got you now boy... how you like it Mike?"
He ate those. And proceeded to resume kicking his ass.
Holyfields performances in Bowe 1 & 2, even though he lost the 1st one & his performance in Tyson 1 was absolutely HEROIC.
Legendary.
3 of the all time best performances ever seen in a HW Championship ring, equal to if not better than any HW title fight in any era you care to mention.
Without Holyfield there was no 90s HW Boxing.
He is the ONLY one who gave the sport credibility.
Bowe, had potential but he was wild n CrAzY & so was his whole crew, you didnt know what to expect when he was in town but you knew it was gonna be chaos.
Lewis, ducked, dived, played politics, got KOd, priced himself outa fights n sued for step aside money instead of stepping up n staking his claim WHEN IT MATTERED.
Tyson, Prison, banned for biting, got banned again after that.
Big George, old.
Moorer, KO'd by old George
Comeback Larry, old
Tommy Morrison, destroyed by Mercer
Mercer, schooled by Comeback Larry.
It was a circus act without Holyfield being Holyfield.
He carried the whole division up until 1999.
Wonderfully said. You forgot about Mercer also trying to bribe Boogeyman Ferguson to not lose the shot at Bowe. And Akinwande and Golota getting DQd. LOL
"Ahh say..... I sayy..... Ahh say... " Haha
He headbutted the world
HABITUAL HEAD BUTTER...
🤣🤣
He is the Real Deal...Period.
Evander is 5 inches taller than Mike.. For it to have been that many “accidentally” headbutts is crazy
It takes two to head butt. Tyson charges in. That's why their heads came together.
I love you evander holyfiled you are my favorite boxer ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊
I don’t care what nobody else SAY …Holyfield won both fights against Tyson and I like Tyson
I like holyfield he's a good man ...but he definitely headbutted the crap out of tyson ...several times...completely negated Tysons explosiveness ..the ref should have been held responsible for not doing there job
Holyfield’s counterpunching and height-reach advantage is what completely negated Mike’s explosiveness. In the very first round, Holy has already completely stymied Tyson’s forward march.
And the referees did do their job; their call was that the cuts were the result of “accidental headbutts.” Halpern and Lane had the closest view of anybody in the arena, and that was what they saw.
@@billdouglas8701 every combination holyfield threw began with his forehead . Last person I saw use there head so effectively was andre ward in the super six tourney...you need to rematch
Rewatch
I just now went back to the video on RUclips and literally in the first 10 seconds ...the very fist exchange tyson lands a right hand holyfield stumbles to the right tyson advanced and holyfield ducked down and came up with a head but to tysons face....in the first 10 seconds there second exchange ...and then again dozens of times over and over again
@@anthonypalmer8714You’re just going to call every clinch and every instance in which their heads even touch while fighting on the inside a “headbutt.” Would you prefer for Holyfield to keep his chin up in the air and get knocked out? Again, the ref is just a few feet or even inches away, and they are not seeing what you are claiming to see.
Vlad jus showed the clip wen tyson said I was head butting him Holyfield first! Wtf…..whole time tyson had a nak for following through with elbows.
Dude was stumblin, fumblin, and splainin. The shorter guys was really effected by the butts, but the bigger guys not so much because the butts could only get to the chin. Lennox Lewis always complained about Holyfield butting him.
You know, you know, you know
Tyson was the dirtiest fighter head butter in history. Only cried about his head butting when he got the worst of it.
Holyfield is a notorious slick head butter. Tyson wasn't the only one that complained about intentional head butting.
Holyfield sounding old and different than he use to
Different? The man has CTE from brain boxing damage lol.
@@sharkkillag2456🤣🤣
@@sharkkillag2456lol from Tyson
Bruh everybody who wasn’t scared to fight Tyson win or lose they didn’t just last they won Buster beat Tyson when his mama died from stress that her son was about to fight the most dangerous man alive that and her illness worried that woman to death and Buster prolly was scared until his mom past look at how he beat Tyson he beat Tyson like he killed his mom no matter the fear conquer it and you’ll win no matter the obstacle
During this interview if I could get 1k..Every time he said "I say" ill be rich asf..😂😂😂
I bet when Vlad bumps into someone at Starbucks, he strikes up conversations about Keefe D and Suge Knight 5 days a week…🙄😀
The real deal
he headbutteddd
Tyson was runnin from that niqqa during the fight
HolyField was Headbutting Tyson,i mean with a head like that, made Tyson bite seem petty 😅
Tyson is the best ever.
Mike Tyson fans have so much excuses why mike lost this fight.
He took it to Tyson,,,head and all..lets fight...he fought
People finna go watch the fight now 😂
Evander did intentionally head butt and grab Tyson. All of this exhausted Mike. Yet, he never protested, just fought dirty back, and seemed slow and confused. Mike could never beat fighters who showed resistance, except for Ruddock. Holyfield picked Mike apart because Tyson lacked the necessary mental strength to overcome real adversity and become a truly great champion.
Holyfield was known for headbutting Lennox lewis said he went to a Evander workout one time and had a tire head level on a heavybag to condition his head on it for headbutts
Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Using a tire to “condition” your skull for headbutts..lol
Tyson hit Holyfield with his signature two-piece,hook to the body and uppercut, and that made Holyfield backup. That was the only great shot that Tyson got of Holyfield. It hurt to see Tyson lose but Holyfield earned that win.
a good wholesome christian man still tellin a litte white lie vout the "headbutt" lol
Most repeated phrases " I say, I say" " the big thing is" " my mama" " at that point " " fact of the matter" Feel free to add to this.
What he "SAY" 😂 Boxing is a Great Sport, but the Brain Damage is not.
