    In this video we test the Dewalt flexvolt 60volt max rear handle saw against the Flex 24 volt Rear handle saw. The Dewalt has the 9 amp hour flexvolt battery and the Flex has the 10 amp hour stacked lithium battery. We cut full depth into a pressure treated 6x6 post as well as a very dense hardwood 4x4 post for ground contact and severe weather. I’m using a blending style of editing so you can see a semi transparent view of both saws at the same time. Please comment and give me some feedback if you like this style. Appreciate all the support as always

    Man you broke the number one rule in doing RUclips tool reviews, not using the same brand new blades. Especially one being a framing blade and the other finer finish?

    Nice! At the end of the day dewalt with its higher voltage wins as long as amp hours are the same or close. Benefits from operating at a higher voltage are increased efficiency and less amp demand from battery.

      Yep 40 tooth Diablo. I run the flex all day too buddy and it goes and goes. But on the jobsite we are usually not burying the blade in a 6x6 you know 😆. Yes this is extreme to run these saws so aggressively but I wanted to push them. The flex can make a couple full depth rips and that’s it. Game over until the battery cools down. I can put a framing blade on it but I doubt it will make much difference in the same test man. It’s a great saw and I love it. But when you run it hard non stop like this those pouch cells overheat. I didn’t mean to take anything away from the flex cause it’s an awesome tool

    • @rickyperkins232
      @rickyperkins232 2 года назад +7

      @@IMPACT-NATION this is a fact, it take more energy to run a 40 tooth blade in comparison to 24 tooth blade by far.
      Put that 24 tooth DeWalt blade in that FLEX and I bet there won't be any cutting out on that dense lumber and test it with the so call inferior FLEX 12 amp hour battery as well.

      @@IMPACT-NATION As a fencer PT 6x6’s are my bread and butter all day everyday. I’ve ripped those with my Flex circ saw no stalls, even before that my old Milwaukee circ saw could do it mind you not as quickly or as smooth as the Flex, and would stall with any blade deviation.

      To be honest man I can’t remember if it’s this video or a short I did. The flex kept cutting out cutting through hardwood against dewalt and my MAKITA xgt. It’s because I had a 40 tooth finish blade on it. The flex has more speed for sure. The flexvolt has more raw torque but the Flex is faster for sure. I tried not to like Flex at first cause I was deep in Milwaukee so I was a little biased but since then I’m absolutely hooked on Flex power tools. By far my favorite brand for sure. True beasts

  • @tooltipswithtommy
