I fully believe that if Chris had gotten the hook, he would have yanked it out of their hands, stood it upright like a dancing pole, and twerked his way off stage.
I'm pretty sure that's been codified by union rules since the 1800s.
The credits should have had a special credit for Hook Grip.

LOL the giant cane. I remember that from old variety shows. I think Laugh In did it. IIRC it was a real thing in old Vaudeville.
Since Taylor disclosed on Conan's podcast that the guests write what they say with the writers, I think they have their lines on their podium displays? Chris is looking at it a lot, probably from being used looking at cue cards on SNL 😄

I think if they did release the “guts” it would probably be for money, because it costs them to do that, and I don’t think you’d get more than a short behind the scenes type thing. They cut things for reasons, either bc CBS doesn’t like it or it just wasn’t that funny, there wasn’t enough time, etc. it would take work for someone to put together the “guts” and then make that available to you. I see that you smoke weed. I can’t tell if you should be smoking more or less. I do look forward to hearing from you.
