- In today's video, I'm doing a comparison between the Cricut Easypress 2 and a regular household iron. I've heard people say they are practically the same, but are they really?! Thank you for showing how to remove a mistake!!!! I thought your shirt was ruined! I was debating whether I needed an Easy Press and the answer is definitely yes!
this had happened to me previously and i freaked out and i ended up finding this solution online and was so glad it worked! i had no idea this was going to happen to me while filming so i knew i had to show how to remove it just in case lol.
It looked like it was too much of a soft surface. You could see the error happening but I can understand how in person it might not look that way.

i figured i had to use a pressing mat since it's an iron, but you're right it may need to be a hard surface !

Also when they say don't use an ironing board, afaik, it's because it's not stable, not because it's softer.

@@lucykiins it actually came in handy like 2 hours after I said this, when a piece of lint got caught under one of the letters I was pressing (had 5 feet of sentences to out on a pair of sleeves 😂 😂 😂) so this was perfect timing for me, thanks again!

You moved something under the easy press to make sure it was flat underneath, but you didn’t make sure the iron was flat. Also, did you adjust the temperature of the iron?
i just moved the pressing mat over, but both the Easypress and iron had the same pressing mat under it. the temp for the iron was the Cotton setting based on the HTVs instructions.
I'm getting a easy press and have been binge watching tutorials 😅. I have two questions. 1. How do you know if it's a cold/ hot pull. You're the first that has done a hot peel. & 2. Was the brown paper you used parchment paper? Thanks in advance ☺️
for the hot/cold peel, i go based on the instructions for the brand and type of htv that i'm using.
the brown paper is a teflon sheet that i got from Amazon ☺️

Does a Vinyl cause cancer? I am thinking to open a T-Shirt business but I am afraid of the smell of burned/heated vinyl.
not at all ! no smell or toxic fumes are exposed when pressing. i haven't had any issues 😊
