I'm not sure why but for some reason, float always has the best liminal space videos. Maybe its the great choice of music or he just finds really good photos.
I really hate how almost every other video of this little "genre" uses the same exact tracks every single time. It's always like the same 4-5 Yume Nikki and Silent Hill tracks from Float's first few videos. It feels like there's no effort put in or that people are slavishly adhering to some sort of genre standard by copying to the letter (even when it kinda doesn't fit at all, like people keep using Barracks Settlement alongside some Trevor Henderson monsters, which makes me cringe because it's not some pants shitting scary track, it's a song that's meant to convey loneliness and melancholy and is more meant for a depressing kind of vista than "oh noz spooky monster"). I like Float's videos partly because he's always introducing me to cool new creepy atmospheric tracks.

Do you ever remember something from when you were really little, but you try to talk to people about it and they don't remember or believe you? For example: I asked my mom about one of her friends when I was young, who I met and hung out at her house to watch a movie. She doesn't remember her at all and as far as I'm concerned, they didn't have a major fallout, they just separated. It feels so weird because it's like the person who you *know* knows that person is literally telling you: *they don't exist*.
I have something like that. I swear up and down, I remember myself being held as maybe an infant or toddler by my mother, and the room we were in was painted a pale green. Like the inside of a cucumber. It's a very vivid memory of mine, and it was definitely the same house I grew up in. She doesn't recall it being that color, although she and my father renovated the house right after they bought it. The strangest part, in the past year or so, my dreams have been tinted in that exact color??
@@MadamFoogie Yooooo exactly! It's so bizarre remembering something and feeling an emotional/nostalgic attachment to it, and then having someone tell you it never happened, that person never existed, etc. Also, love the color of the room; sounds very pretty! ^^

That last one really resonates with me. In community college, I had a huge gap between morning and afternoon classes. So I'd usually go to my car to chill, eat lunch, do work, and nap. But I couldn't do that in the wintertime, it was just too cold. So I took to hiding in the library building, and sleeping on the floor in corners where the librarians wouldn't look. I had a blanket and everything. No one ever disturbed me. I think I might have been a backrooms monster then.

Can’t believe it’s been nearly 2 years since this genre first popped off. They were good times for me personally. Watching these now, not only do the images evoke past nostalgia but the genre itself does.
Ever since finding out about liminal spaces, I've been hooked. And I've also found that these are some of the absolute best videos (and music) on them. Thank you so much for making these float!
When I see these images something is... off... it doesn't feel right but I cannot tell why. It's like you've been in these places before or dreamed about them but with a twist. It's incredible how many people have this in common, it's both amazing and scary at the same time.
Got the float wolf tshirt for christmas!!! I wanted to explain these videos to my family but I'm not sure they would get it. Keep doing you man, all your content slaps
0:00 Reminds me of that image in part 11 about the dentist's office. It is a school this time and just as creepy. A little less interesting though. 0:20 Waiting room for a doctor's place. HERE. At 1:56. I had a dream where I was in a place that looked almost EXACTLY like this, except everything was the same color, and the walls were just LINED with beige lockers. It went on infinitely, and for a fleeting moment, I felt fear. Like, legitimate, actual fear, and even in my sleep, I felt this sort of twisting of my stomach, this gut-wrenching feeling of wrongness. It was eerily silent, and there was... SOMETHING lurking around the corners. I could hear it shuffling around, and yet at the same time, it was strangely quiet. And no matter what I did, I couldn't wake up. I was locked in this surreal nightmare. My mind and body would not stir, but I felt actual sensory responses in accordance with my emotions. It was the most bizarre and terrifying experience....
2:00 looks so familiar because this is literally the place my aunt and my cousin used to live i even asked my mom if this is where they used to live and she said “yea how did u find it”.

@@BuyMeThingsnow 100% agree, this practically summarizes how I feel about the "genre" of videos like these
8 months to over a year ago (i can read, ya know), and i've NEVER made a long comment before and i don't care about capitalization at all but what the hell i'm gonna let it go anyways
release_ by vox was the only track that appeared more then once (it appeared in part 9 and was slowed down in 10)
part 1 didn't have a single Silent Hill track in it
Yume Nikki only returned once for part 12 and felt almost exclusive to part 1
different Yume Nikki and Silent Hill tracks were used (basically same game different song every time)
Trevor Henderson's monsters are not related to the liminal space genre (that's right no quotes) at all
and i perfer float's first 6 videos in this series over the next 7 from

and then after hesitating a whole bunch i actually post this pointless and atrociously formatted comment (and then i won't want to open my notifications for god knows how long and i'll probably just mark emails regarding this video as read as i'll be fearing the absolute worst)

Memories at that age are so fuzzy they're bound to get mixed up as you get older. But that doesn't make it any less weird to think about.
Having a parent with bad memory is hard

3:20 The way the lights reflect on the still water looks strange to me, like it’s some kind of bad graphic on a video game.
Man, you found some really haunting images for this one. Great way to end the year with too! Well done man! And happy new year!
