As the person who stayed up all night to get the network working: Yes, I disagree (regarding 6:46). I'm quite happy that it worked flawlessly from the other team members' perspective, but honestly we were kind of lucky in the end :).
It was very nice that you thanked your team members' sponsors, even though you didn't had one. That speaks a lot about you as a person and as a team member...
When I watch your CTF videos I always regret not having found this channel earlier. I'd probably would've switched to this field of study when I quit physics if I knew this stuff was so fun.
You should have a LOT of time and interest to invest into this. I am 4-Th year at computer science and I tried to solve some beginner CTF challenges and they prove to be very hard, I think I should invest a least a year to be able to solve intermediate ones.
@@christophermurray4393 I've been into cyber security for one year now and I won CSCBE with my team (ctf, 248 teams). I wouldn't be able to do it if I didn't put time in watching Liveoverflow, John Hammond, reading writeups and participating other CTFs but it's fun & defo worth it
+LiveOverflow you are truly the greatest RUclips channel, I love the ctfs you work on and love the videos and the style you use in them, keep up the fantastic uploads, anytime you upload it makes my day just that much better. Keep up the great work!
I was lucky enough to go to Defcon for work, and my team ended up placing second in the car hacking village CTF! I wish I would have known you were there so I could say hello.
Hey man, don't wanna create like Slack team? so people could share various techniques, tutorials about CTFs and stuff :) it does a good job when connecting people
Wait you were suppose to have a coin to get into the CTF area? I just walked right in and looked around and no one stopped me, I figured it was just as open as anything else in that part of Caesars palace.
Bro I went to defcon and I was asking all the People running the CTF events if your Name was participating, and I kept having no luck....now I know why...you were apart of a team. Lol

AWESOME. I'd totally love to be there. Thanks LiveOverflow for telling us your experience!
I still demand you turn your hand writing into a font! (please)
Yes I agree
It may be a font already
What would that be useful for?
Graphics, Websites (webfont), etc. I'd personally use it for a good powerpoint / presentation header font 👍

+1 for the TV network hack. I've done that last summer during our vacation, got a 70 Mbps wired connection over the 0.2 Mbps WiFi.
gold! thanks again for sharing the CTF A&&D stories

Sounds really fun, and kinda stressful. Glad you had a good time, though and thanks for the video!
such a great vid again dude, which I can visit DEFCON in the future, would be super cool!
There's a frame of non-anonymized faces at 7:18 , probably not intended?
It's about another team, prob their photo.
Its an easter egg

Mind ripping the DVD at 8:20 and uploading the soundtrack?
DerpyProgrammer you can download it from the defcon media server IIRC
I wonder if there is some hidden data on the DVD, maybe something that would be usefull during the CTF?

Why do you hide your face in the beginning?
@liveoverflow is it allowed to record the ctf? i mean how u make video for RUclips? do u get machine copy?
Wat?

Wtf is this? I don't know anything 😢
Anyone know how the TV network hack worked?
I can't imagine it was that hard. Maybe you have to spoof the MAC Adress of the SmartTV or maybe there was no security at all.
But i had still fun xD
I think it's kinda unfair to show other's faces but censor yours...
Have you thought about if I maybe asked if those people are okay being shown in the video? ;)
