i remember when it was very melodic before from g5 2007, but now everything seem is about speed. Looking into more tune like 'Words' and 'Fragile Seasons' and Gratitude. A lot of emotions and at the same time still got technical difficulties.
Glad to see I'm not the only one feeling this way.
blackstallionwhite ya, i see they are like chasing to make everything to looks progressive as much as they can. I'm not against anything progressive like DT or maybe some djenty like Periphery. G5 Project that i know very melodic.That's their main strength.
i think those songs are ballads and this new stuff is more like a story or something where the sound is always moving and progressing, so rather than having a melodic theme or motif its more based with harmony and the leading over the top. I like it either way!
gotta love a2c for writing "words" man. changed my life listening to him and mintjam

This is a masterpiece, the only that I think that i can to say is that the effect of the guitar missing more power in the sense of delay maybe I dont know something need it, but apart of that its a perfect song ;D

Just asking about the Best of album, are the music in it remastered/rerecorded version, or are they the same as the original ones ?
All songs except track 1 "Cloudia" are the same as the original. Cloudia was rerecorded with the superb musicians in Boston, just like Surge, Determined and Across the Horizon in G5 2016. And of course, I rerecorded all the guitar tracks in Cloudia with my latest gears too.

相当金がかかったmvだな
ごっさんのプレイって他のG.O.Dメンバーとかに比べて速く弾いてるだけ感が強いんだよな。遊び心というか歌心というか、そういうのが感じられない。
彼のSpiritsという曲が構成が練られていてとても好きなんだが、他の曲は比較的そういった傾向がありますね、私もあまり好きじゃない。彼はゲーム音楽畑の人だし、それが彼の持ち味なんですけどね。
うまい。うまいよ確かに。でもなんだろう 心に響かない。オケつけて機材も豪華で撮影も凝ってるしスタジオだってこの広さだと金かけてるだろうに。16分や32分の音を重ねただけのように聞こえる。G5の面子でもa2Cさんの独特なチョーキングやAZさんの微妙なフィンガリングみたいに個性を感じられない。ゴスピさんはすごくうまいけど、ただのギターの優等生って感じ。打ち込みみたいなギターばっかりだとセカオワが言ってるみたいに、今にギターなんていらないでしょって時代が来そうで怖いです。元ギター小僧でロック大好きだからこそ、あえて苦言しました。不快に思ったらごめんなさい。

激しく同意。音数が多くなればなるほど伝わりずらくなるような気が、、、。リフが無いのは寂しいなあ。下手でもいいから氣を入れろ！なんつって。
コンプ掛けすぎかミックスのやり方かな。違う曲だけど爆音で聞くとニュアンスとかすごいかっこよかった。けど通常の音量で聞くと平べったい？薄っぺらい？感じ。
肝心のE·ギターのパートだけが全く聴こえないのはどうした意図から？
