I retired froms large hospital. Every receptacle had an engraved plate with panel & breaker #, every pull box, 1900 box etc had panel & circuit #'s on over. 277 circuits had covers paintef orange and fire alarm noxes had red covers. Only problem with 480 volt hundreds of VFD'S & iver 75. ATS 'S they were feed from panels one to eleven floors away.
That was a really good idea to dedicate the circuit and add a photoeye. We did this one time and the customer called back saying the sign turned on too late. What a P.I.A. We had to go back out take the photo eye out, and put one with a shutter in and adjust it 2387549 times to get the right amount of darkness to turn the sign on earlier.
We did something similar but we put the sign lighting on a photocell at the sign and reprogrammed the lighting circuit to be energized during all open hours. The sign and communication both shut off together at closing via the ligting contactor We didn’t have the ability to run a dedicated circuit.
They were originally a working man's watch they only recently(past 50 years) have been made into a fashion accessory I still like the function but I try not to scratch them too much and it usually works out ok.
It is funny that people automatically think it will cost more because more workers are on sight. I feel like I have to explain this when I shouldn't. We quote 95% of jobs. So the cost is the same if 100 people were there or 1

@@Simonelectricfl yeah when I worked in the steel industry and conduits would go for ever to who knows where to who knows what control cabinet. 400ft to 500ft runs from the electric room out. Using compressed air and just finding the one that had air coming out of it made it so much easier.
I agree with different color shirts... escpially the state you are in... Black color clothing of any kind will increase the heat in clothing... they did a study on this, its fact... I would suggest a different color, to reduce heat..
Never purchase a SB franchise. They are designed to drain you dry. You think you're going to make money, but then they demand you spend $200,000 on the store you just paid to build.... for the new updated look. Then be prepared for that to happen every few years. SB's bad business practices has destroyed many vendors who produced their equipment. Those vendors now hate SB, and rightfully so.
@@Simonelectricfl guessing schedule 80. Smart move. Before I retired I had to install a 19 station electric electro plating line. That spider is healthy. May want to check for missing cats in the area. Another sweet job!
That thing could probably eat a cat! 🐈

Yes, we label the inside of the cover plate with circuit number and panel number
Great retrofit! I’m also a new Subscriber! Love your honesty, and your team seems to be awesome, too!
Yea we have a great team! I love working with all of them
Thanks for sub!!

Thanks! I usually just make the shroud almost completely cover it in those situations. That way, it turned on sooner rather than later.
Photo eyes suck. It’ll lock up in the next year or 2. Timers are much better.
I hope the Starbucks gang hooked you and the guys up with a nice cafecito.
We got some chillers, and they hit the spot.
I want to know if he fixed the sign to have sensible coffee names, I avoid starbucks because i can't order a normal cappuccino
@@TheChipmunk2008 yes we fixed that also

I don't like spiders but I'm happy you took good care of that one😊
Thanks, It is way too amazing of an animal to not respect it.
Not all hero's where capes! Captain save a latte
For these projects so many unknowns do you give cost upfront and hope to come in under or charge time and material at the end?
We give an hour of troubleshooting in the quote. We give the options at the end sometime the options are to continue troubleshooting or replacing.
Great resolution to the problem keep it up
Thanks, will do Pops!
I hope you guys can sleep tonight after inhaling all of that caffeine smell
Haha we sleep like babies 😂
Curious why you work with a rolex on? Just increases risks of scratches and scuffs

I'm surprised you guys didn't go inside afterwards and order a cup of Electrician's Blend coffee. LOL
Good point 😂
Replacing the analog camera with an IP camera would be way more reliable than anything wireless.
How do you get Starbucks as a client please explain. I’ve asked a bunch of times and you always give general answers.
They call us that's how all of our customers find us we advertise in a few places mostly google.
@@Simonelectricfl right on brother thanks.
I had never seen a drive threw like that with multiple restaurants in swfl.
Customer: I need an outlet...
Sparky: Ok, that's 3 guys @ $125 an hour X 4 hours, so $1500 plus materials... roughly $2k total. How far off was I?

I blew up a toner hooking it to a live 240v line once, they don't like it up em!
Yea, some can do live, but I have blown a couple that cant.
Why wifi camera? PoE camera and ethernet cable would been better. Pull coax out and run CAT5. It probably is also cheaper to run than new receptacle.
The customer wanted an outlet added for the wifi camera. What the customer wants, they get at least most of the time
Coax range extender even better.
I blow air into the conduit to find where the othwr end is
That's a cool trick I may use that

Low quaity on their BNC cable ....

Why didn't starbucks support you with an electrical blueprint ?
Looks like we have the same watch.
Those are venomous?!?! we have a ton of them in our yard... WTH
Why didn't you show the sign in full working mode?
I tried, but it was too bright out to really see it on and was not able to go out after dark before I posted.

Would have installed rigid conduit from side of sign to at least 6" below grade level. Holds up a lot better with careless peopke using weed wackers..
We did use rigid thick wall pvc and down more than 24"
