How’s it going your videos helped me a lot , seeing if you have any videos about the reverse gears on a Chinese atv , have a issue with it , I have 1st 2nd and 3rd and neutral but when I put it in reverse it makes a grinding sound and won’t back up , can you help me out ? It’s a 120 cc Taotao
Hey Robert, U have a bent shifting fork or the bearings are worn out on the reverse gear shaft... I have a couple like that, one grinds in 3/4 and the other grinds in reverse.... Sorry, motor will probably have to come off and the case split, for china stuff, I try to get a replacement engine.... Thanks for Ur kind words, encouragement, asking, watching, and commenting

Man I sure wish you would come across a suzuki lt230s that you could get going? Do you have any recommendations for a china cdi that would replace the stock 8 wire cdi for a 1985 suzuki Lt230s quadsport
Hey Kevin, Direct replacement for the suzy cdi, no, I would use a china 12vdc CDI to get it running and then try the standard ac powered one to see if the ac cdi part of the stator puts out an acceptable voltage... Make sure Ur valve lash is adjusted to spec and I would recommend a PZ30 carb conversion as the 230 motor is know for its kick back!!! Thanks for asking, watching, and commenting!!!! PS - I don't run across 230s, they were fast machines for their time, most were run to death, the frames also tended to bend when they were crashed, so, a fast machine and a lot of years and generations of hard riding, has they almost all gone around me!
im gonna say that its a 81 or 82. the 185s didnt come out until 81 and went through 83. 83 had front suspension, so that leaves 81 or 82. hopefully that helps you determine the year.

Hey Mark! Yes, I'm talking about the PZ27 carburetor, I consider it the cheapest, most reliable, and easiest to replace.. They cost around $20 on eBay.... I hope this helps, thanks for asking, watching, and commenting!!!
@@HarveySpooner those motors only call for a 22 mm carb ..but those carbs you've been using are as close a chinese carb will ever come to being a honda replacement in my opinion....i welded up a small fuel cell from galvanized pipe and fittings for testing these little motors ..holds about 2 liters .i thought about sending you one but i kinda have a uni bomber face and i doubt it would get through the mail... its really useful but does look like a pipe bomb lol..thanks for all the helpful simplified vids ..they really help a guy make sense of all this stuff
i´m almost done with my 1981 atc200 but the pull starter it´s so tough to pull, i´ve changed the string, old one broke, i have no idea if it´s normal or there is something wrong, i pull apart that side of the engine and didn´t see anything blocking the way.. please help before i swap the engine
Hey Daniel, I had a recoil that was hard to pull and it would not recoil itself, turns out the case was dented and rubbing against the rope pulley.... Other than that, figure out if it is the engine, the recoil, or the combo of both that makes it hard to pull, maybe, Ur starter basket on the flywheel is the wrong one or out of round???? Hey what clone carburetor did you use? Ive heard lots of bad things about the chinese ebay ones but that one seems to be fine, mine is pretty rough and hates to cold start
